Automation doesn't work on render (multiple hosts) + MorBugs

At first I thought this was an FL problem, but I now see that this is a problem in both energyXT and FL, so I'll bring it up here.
In Sampletank 2XL:
Automating via MIDI CC works fine during playback, but on render it seems to disappear. Why is this?
While I'm at it, how come Staccato Brass doesn't appear to work when I try to load it? It just doesn't create any sound. Out of curiousity, is the patch any good anyway (been really looking for some good brass sounds out of ST; would hate to have to buy one of the add-on expansions)? I'm very confused as to why it is this way.
Also, one other thing I have to ask is just why SampleTank's GUI takes so long to show up. It is all loaded and even plays back and responds to MIDI fine at load, but it takes another 10 seconds or however long to actually view the GUI for the first time.
One more comment: Sampletank 2 Free can load samples from Sampletank 2XL (or so I'm told). I just thought it would be the upright thing to do to bring it up (although I'm sure you're already aware). Is it against the contract to share samples with an ST2 Free user? I already told them that I wouldn't be able to supply them with any samples, but maybe you really don't mind if people share them, since after all you let ST2 Free load the samples anyway? Kind of confusing.
Anyway, thanks for any answers you could supply (until now, 'you' has meant the developers, but 'you' could mean anyone who knows any answers).

The developers from IK don't respond on the forum. This forum is actually made by a third party sound developer, Sonic Reality. We talk mostly about our sounds and also about SampleTank here but refer certain tech questions about SampleTank functionality to IK tech support. You can contact this way: www.sampletank.com/support.html
Regarding the load time, this depends on how many sounds you have and it takes a few minutes sometimes in the beginning to scan them. But, the load time is very good on average after it has done this relisting.
You cannot share samples that are made by IK, SR, AMG or other developers. Even if they are offered for free from the website that does not give anyone else the right to redistribute them. Of course you can tell anyone to go to www.sampletank.com to get the sounds for themselves.
SampleTank 2 FREE does not read ST2 XL sounds. It only reads specific sounds that are coded for it. It is a glorified "demo" that shows only a taste of what XL has. Its main limitation is that it doesn't read other samples otherwise why would anyone buy the real thing? But, unlike most demos this doesn't time out or have noise bursts or limited polyphony... so it is a module that can be used for free but ONLY with the sounds released by IK that are coded for the free version specifically.
Try to sort out your automation stuff with IK tech support. It still could have to do with FL or energyXT but tech support can troubleshoot with you and figure it out.

If you guys submit this info to IK they can see if it is a possible bug on either end (ST or the host). If it is then it can be fixed in a future update.Jeez wrote:Rellik, if you get a solution to the CC automation thing, please let us all know. I get a similar problem sometimes too, my workaround is to do a realtime export/mixdown... which is a slight annoyance.
Forever,
Kim.

I did actually report this to I.K. Multimedia Tech Support 27/11/03
But I think it is dependent on the host..it didn't work in Cubase VST 5.1 Mac, for example, but works o.k. in Cubase SX

I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.
