fmr wrote: Tue Nov 27, 2018 8:55 am I have been unticking the Install Presets option, and installation runs much faster now (although still slow when compared with other installers). It seems that the Installer is maybe comparing one by one all the presets already installed, and that's what takes so much time.

Don't know if that helps.
Do you have the engine installer in the same folder as the 16gb sounds installer? If they are in the same folder it will re-install all the sound files as well, so try installing the engine from a different folder perhaps - (apologies if this has already been mentioned).
I have. Could it be the reason? I though the soundsets were installed with a different installer.

Nonono, any installer will find package files in the same folder and install them. :hihi:

Can you point me where it is? Next time I will perform an install with the Install Presets ticked and will send that log to you.

Good Lord. So each time I was installing (again) the entire 16 GB soundset file :o

No wonder it took ages to finish :hihi:

Is the square text thingy in the installer final window/screen. Or you can get the same log in a txt file if you look under the Data folder, for the program you installed. But yeah, if you have the big package file in the same folder, it will see it and try to extract.

No one reads the log.... :dog: it would show all the sounds installed and also the number of files installed. :hihi: Maybe I should do the final finished install page in a different way?

Or maybe just have the Engine Setup install the presets (have them embedded in the installer) but NOT the soundsets, and keep a different installer for those (as I was convinced it is)

Indeed, I will change the code so each installer only looks for certain package files, that will do.

Little help needed. I see there are:
WIN_Wusik_EVE_V5_Engine.zip
WIN_Wusik_Engine_Data__NoSounds.exe
WIN_Wusik_Engine_Data__SoundCollection.zip
I need to install first 2 if I have wusik station 9 soundset or this is different and need to install this too? Read somewhere that there was an update which allows sharing of soundsets.
What about wusik one soundset, same question about its 6 Gb soundset. Is it needed or it is covered by 16 Gb soundset from w.station?
Btw in download section there isnt manual for Wusik Eve and for Wusik One. Found manuals elsewhere.
Didnt see that manual covers installation process.
Havent installed anything yet, still downloading

Hello, if you have WS V9 you don't need to install the SoundCollection, as it is the same. I'm still testing the shared folder thing, but there is a way to use WS V9 SoundSets with an extra step.

Ok, so FIRST, install
WIN_Wusik_EVE_V5_Engine.zip

Them install
WIN_Wusik_Engine_Data__NoSounds.exe

When you open the plugin, click on the tree-view on the right on Options, the first top option. Click on Manage Extra Folders and Add User File 1 (or any empty one). Browse to WS V9 SoundSets folder and add it.

Soon I will update WS V9 so it uses the new Wusik Engine Data shared folder and this won't be needed anymore.

Ah, I will add a link to the manual into the download area, thanks for telling me that.

Cheers, WilliamK

William, from around 17/11 till 24/11 you had (by design) the Engine installer putting duplicate dlls in "Wusik Engine Data\Wusik EVE V5\Extras\Multi Preset Plugins".
The latest installer (Beta 80) doesn't update those duplicates...this might explain some of the continuing problems with multi presets.

Post

Ah, I'm no longer using those DLL files, you can delete those out, forgot to mention. Uploading new files now...

Post

Ok, new Windows file there, BETA 82 if I'm not mistaken, but I did update the About box. ;-) I think I did all the changes you mentioned, so I won't type it all here to save my hands... :hihi:

Post

In short:

- changed SF2 preset numbers to start at 1 instead of 0
- SF2 that program 10 that was faulty should play ok now
- multi preset now is Multi Instances and added a shortcut to presets/multi named Multi Presets, which will show next to Multi Instances as the tree-view does alphabetically.
- you can load a multi file anywhere now, no more messages telling you to load from instance one
- fixed the names problems.

please, let me know if I forgot something or if there is still something wrong somewhere.

Thanks again guys!!

Installer works on a breeze now :-)

Seems like you already did the change we talked abut. Don't forget to add in the installation instructions that first-time users need to download the BIG installer, and subsequently only need to download the Engine installer :-)

Glad we finally found what was going on with the installer.
