AS to your question, just go to the SEQ tab and press the LOAD or SAVE buttons as needed.

Is there a bank called TimC's Algorhythmic or something? I found a few patches in his 4 banks that had sequences, saved them and then loaded them into a Moog patch or two - they sounded awful! Which leaves me with the sneaking suspicion that I've done something wrong...

There is no specific bank called TimC's Algorhythmic. There are however specific presets in his Banks 1-4:pough wrote:Is there a bank called TimC's Algorhythmic or something? Bank 1 has 20 presets named Algorithmics1,2..20. as well it has 4 called Microtonal Algos 1-4.
Bank 2 has Microtonal Algos 1-4.
Algorithmics is a name that Tim uses that just basically means 'Sequences'. Also check
the SEQ tab in Rhino 2 for other TimBank patches-several of them use the Sequncer.
Had you not heard Tim's banks before?
When you tried them 'in a Moog
Patch or two', they won't work in every one, try several! Which Moog patches did you try and which Algo patches? You have to experiment...
It might be down to a matter of taste, or maybe it's time to see the Doc andget that ear wax removed!

Thanks for the clarification there. I just read somewhere else, that these "algorithmics" of mine are not to everyone's taste, but I found it to be a new way to use Rhino. Have to try 'em with the moog patches however.( funny...I am working on a new moog set for EVE
...but don't worry...i'll get around to another Rhino bank.TC

Tim is a fantastic sound-designer but imo he sometimes confuses 'sound-design' with 'composition'
(actually usually as soon as the synth has a sequencer built-in)
as I still have enough ideas on my own (and tbh I like my own harmonies far more than his) it means:
give Tim a synth with a sequencer and most of his patches are completely useless to me (and hopefully to most of the other users as well)

Hmmm interesting theory. Tim's patches are designed to showcase what a particular synth can do-in this case Rhino. They would certainly not fit in everybody's form of composition or style. Someone who does "Space Music" or whatever you want to call the genre might find them ultimately useful while someone doing Heavy Metal might find them worthless.
So to get to the point how does everybody feel about "one finger" patches or patches that have some element of composition to them. Do you feel that it's "cheating" like using someone else's loops or do you find them musically inspiring? I for one don't WANT my Rhino to sound like a Moog. I have other synths that cover the VA world quite nicely. I want Rhino to sound like it came from the future and not the past. From that standpoint I think Tim's patches are a huge success. But I do see Jens' point of view. To each his own I guess.
