One feature that sold the upgrade for me was the inter-plugin communication a la Izotope's plugins. Having access to all instances of Pro-EQ3 available in one window is fantastic

Anyone had any luck with inheritance of track names in the menu where you choose other instances to compare to?
I've only tested in Bitwig but doesn't appear to be working for VST2 or VST3.

This. I was initially thinking how they could improve on it at all and then saw that. No, in Abelton it only says ProQ1, ProQ2 etc. Guess / hope this will be fixed with the a update, otherwise this is gone be difficult.Hez wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:47 pm Anyone had any luck with inheritance of track names in the menu where you choose other instances to compare to?

One thing I didn't understand is if it's just "spectrum visualization" (as it says in the product page) from other instances, or you can also jump to equalize instances in other tracks from the same window, like IIEQPro does with its "multitrack control".
Another thing which I've always thought would be nice in IIEQPro (and now ProQ3) is if you could create groups/channels of only selected instances communicating with each other, not an automatic routing of every single instance available in the session.
Then as I said, I'll definitely upgrade to v3, but i'm in no hurry.

€52 is basically £47 but it depends on how much stuff you own from them.

the A/R settings are automatic in pro-q (like Neutron). spacer has dedicated controls - if you were not aware of this, then pro-q will successfully replace spacer in your workflowCaine123 wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 10:09 am guess i can sort out some other eqs finally!
wondering how the sidechaining is compared to trackspacer, maybe trackspacer can be obsolete for me as well.

The EQ that changes the sound per default unless you enable HQ mode?JunSev wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 2:28 pm I can't justify 179$ dollars for an EQ, but I'm happy with Fruity Parametric EQ 2 anyways, stock plug-ins are very good too...
Very nice upgrade price for ProQ3. Bought it and being already flashed from the cool new features

Yeah it looks innovative, don't get me wrong, I like it, but I'm also happy with my humble stock EQ, is low in CPU and satisfy my needsmike_the_ranger wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 2:34 pmThe EQ that changes the sound per default unless you enable HQ mode?JunSev wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 2:28 pm I can't justify 179$ dollars for an EQ, but I'm happy with Fruity Parametric EQ 2 anyways, stock plug-ins are very good too...

Wonder if that's DAW dependent, but I think you can manually name them? Maybe the trick for now is to do that as you add them in the session and go along. I don't know, I haven't tried it... just going off of what I saw in one of the demo videos.adl wrote: Thu Nov 29, 2018 1:10 pm No, in Abelton it only says ProQ1, ProQ2 etc. Guess / hope this will be fixed with the a update, otherwise this is gone be difficult.

Those of you who bought it for a bit over 100 dollars this past weekend got a bargain (considering it came with a v3 upgrade at no extra charge). I'm a user for some time and am seeing an upgrade price from v2 of 89 dollars and change here.
So in no hurry since the 50% discount doesn't seem to expire... plus give time to let the bigger bugs get solved.
Thanks, fabfilter, for the nice upgrade (feature wise) though!

I just got TDR Nova GE 2 because I was looking for a dynamic EQ primarily. Was pretty satisfied using Ableton’s EQ8.
If anyone has a chance to really run PROQ3 vs TDR Nova with respect to the dynamic EQ features I would really appreciate that.
