Will Dune 3 be finally released or will I have to torture puppies ?

I'd love to have something like the ANA 2 sequencer (combo of arp and cmd) in Dune3.
That's a "no" too?

same here, its pretty standard, very easy to understand and work withchk071 wrote: Fri Nov 30, 2018 5:26 pm Absolutely.
Wonder what's wrong with the workflow anyway though. It never has been a thing that bothered me in Dune. Quite the opposite.

Yes but a lot clicking and switching around. Some of this could be solved but i accept it as it is. I mean do i have a choice...nope.

I've just finished my rating video for Dune 2, take a look if you want to kill quite a lot of time while waiting for Dune 3
I agree with the minority of posters who are pointing out the workflow could be better. Watch the video to find out why.

the trouble is, nobody says how it could be better....
less tabs, less clicking? sure, it the gui is 8 times its current size.
i find it a piece of cake compared to say xxxxx or xxxx-xxx, purely from a workflow/gui point of view

I agree. Dune 2 is so simple to wrap your head around. There are only small things that could make it better. The inclusion (maybe) of a wavetable editor is probably gonna be the most complex as I want it. A couple of more aggresive filters, being able to save MSEGs would be great as well. Im sure more ppl could point out things they would like but then how far would one be willing to go before you take away the uniqueness of this synth to make it like everything else?AnX wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 6:09 pm the trouble is, nobody says how it could be better....

Here's a few things I hope they improve in Dune 3 for better workflow however, for those who don't want to watch the video:
- Move the mod matrix and the arp out of the central window to give them more space. If that means more tabs then that would be fine by me.
- Make it possible to save arpeggiator patterns.
- Make some kind of shortcut for setting up modulation. Right-clicking a parameter and selecting a mod source to affect it for example.
- Create up/down-buttons for wavetable selection. It's slow and tedious to have to open up the menu every time you want to change the wavetable.
- Make it possible to save and load MSEGs and effects buses independently, and put the patches for them into mini browsers (with up/down buttons here as well) so you can flip through and audition them easily.
- Choice of GUI size would be nice, but no must at present
- Improve the parts of the interface concerning the different sound layers
- For the love of God let us change patches with the arrow keys on the keyboard

As far as I'm concerned, all I want is a step forward in the sound. I want to hear sounds I haven't heard before. Dune 1 gave me this feeling, so I'm very curious to hear what Dune 3 can do.
Dune 1 workflow and GUI were OK, so I'm sure Dune 3 will be alright in that regard.

Create that sound yourself? Dune 2 is almost limitless. It sounds mkre like you want more preset diversity.DJErmac wrote: Sat Dec 01, 2018 11:24 pm As far as I'm concerned, all I want is a step forward in the sound. No, I'm only talking about what the synth sounds like, what it can do, how different it sounds from other synths. If you create, for example, a supersaw with Dune 1, it sounds very different from a supersaw you create with Sylenth 1. But maybe you've noticed I haven't talked about Dune 2 : it's because I've always considered it sounds more "generic". The sounds that come from Dune 2 are great but could, imho, come from other synths I know. Now I'm curious to see what they've done with Dune 3.

It'll be interesting to see which Avenger workflow / ideas /gui things Dune 3 incorporates.
