How far are you willing to bend?

As a guitar player initially, I can confess to having trouble adjusting to getting 'good bends' from the keyboard..

I think I haven't devoted as much as I should to doing it & rely instead upon the host to draw my curve.

This is also caused by not having till now a 3rd party soundcard I could rely upon for taming latency in live playing, so that may change after..uh..

Bends are very important for me though & a big part of my songwriting..but I don't go anywhere near a full octave, I simply don't need that much; I use about the same as I can bend out of a guitar string..

Go figure.

I have my floyd set up so I can bend up a perfect fourth-ish. Can go down to oblivion though .

This was great until I snapped my whammy bar. For my last tune I had to shove a screw driver in the hole.......

dead right, quite honestly, somewhere in my experience with sequencing (~8 years with a qx21 before logic4) i just got f**ked off with automation (well, whole thing) i seriously doubt i've had more than 5 automations in my tracks over the last 3 years..

i sincerely wouldn't recommend my music to anyone who isn't interested in synthedit vsti output :P
