Best stateside releases of the past few months

I have not really been spending money on music like I used to, and in fact I have not purchased(or stolen) any new music in about 6 months. Anyone have any suggestions for what I should check into?

I like indie pop/rock(think eels or Wilco) and hip hop(as long as its not curnk) though I have been disillusioned with most hip hip release in the past few years(since I dont hear much underground stuff these days; but if anyone can suggest something that doesnt talk about candy paint, diamonds, champagne and the like, and doesnt take the same synth riff and loop it through the entire song I would gladly purchase it)
