Exactly. Music is Energy and in my opinion that's what is lacking from the new music that is dribbling down the legs of "producers" these days. Energy and Emotion. If you've never cried while playing an instrument then you're missing the point of the whole thing....in my opinion of course (do I have to post my music now so I'm allowed to have an opinion ? )

If I wanted to post a song, I would do it somewhere else, where many more people have good musical taste. That's also why I avoid the Music Cafe forum, it is a waste of time and bandwidth.

"Anger is energy" is not the same as "music is energy".

I do like emotional music, but not melodramatic music.
What touches people varies a lot. What moves person a to tears, leaves person b cold, and vice versa.

With that video I think to myself, 1 minute would have sufficed.

Sylenth 1 must have something going for it since we're still talking about all these years later even though the competition has grown in both number and scope over that period.

Great synth that might be slipping down the charts a bit as it ages due to the lack of development and the aforementioned competition.

But it will always have a place in my plugin folder.

Ok I'm done here. Sylenth 1 FTW......

To be on-topic: I demoed Sylenth1 many, many moons ago. Didn't end up getting it for the following reasons: too expensive, too limited feature-wise, and too modern of a sound. However, I recognized its sound as really high-quality. There was something about it that "popped" and sounded professional. If modern synths were my thing I would have surely gotten it.

Checked out some Novakill tracks on Youtube. Well, not the best music I've ever heard but still something I can and actually do enjoy. Symplistic and quite straightforward but groovy and catchy, some good use of synths and samplers.

I used to listen to some FLA/Wumpscut/Haujobb in the past, imo Novakill do pretty convincing interpretation of this genre.

What is it about Sylenth1 ?
