That would be kinda hard when RR & I met over 13 years ago..
are we both talking about Robert Randolph? is he just playing mindfuck games with us? I take it he wasn't 9 when you met him?

I need to get out more :P
I don't recall Maryln Manson introducing me to any 9 year olds..

:hihi:

well now I've got to scrape brain off the wall again for no good reason...

I've always wondered who he really was, and now I'm even more intrigued. Let's just say if KvR members were trading cards he'd probably go in one of those elaborate hard plastic cases :P

could be wrong, but I thought a while back Robert said his wife was older than he is...
Err, she's 19. I would never say she's older.... cause she's not lol. We've been working together for quite a while in the audio (and outside) world.... As you all can notice age isnt a factor till you bring it up. Especially when you're 6'5 by age 16 and finish college quite soon after... No one asks.. no one cares long as the job they're paying for gets done :) and well... wendy is just extremely smart and talented with ears and eyes of gold.

*shrug* I dont see why this is all shocking. I stated my age in the recent birthday thread and a year ago on august 15th when I turned 21...

Brief history:

Took piano lessons at 9 years old, until my mom broke my nose with a slap ahaha (I had very bloody nose)

Then begun studiying music basic theory and piano on the conservatory when I was 13 or so. After that I started at the university to study composition, until today.

Always loved electronic music, it was soooo inspiring at early ages and still does. I had first an Ensoniq ESQ-1 then a Korg i3 after, until I met PCs and can't live without them.

I'm a fanatic of innovative sounds too.

And have no expectations either. :S

Born 1959, adopted at birth...raised by two parents who couldn't carry a tune with straps. My childhood dream was to be a baseball player, that ended about one game after I joined little league. I was always discouraged from music as I grew but when I turned twelve I got a guitar for my birthday.

Though my mother never had any confidence in me my father always did. I joined the army in 78, was special forces, got married went to Texas. I went on a special mission where I broke my leg and got a purple heart.

While in Texas I was able to partake in the Austin blues scene of the late 70's and early 80's. I was able to spend time with Wayne Charvel in his custom shop and jammed with SRV.

I came home and got divorced, went to college (in western Mass) and still played in bands. After graduating I went on a 7-8 year cocaine binge with several bands, played some shows...hair bands, my hair was all permed and crap.

I moved back this way to get clean in the 90's and spent all my time devoted to recording, soon I dumped my analog gear and bought an Akai DPS12. (This pic is pre retail)Image

Towards the mid 90's after I accidently ran over an 8 year old girl with a school bus. I decided to end my life (it was pretty bad for me, but the girl is fine..and rich) I had just moved into where I live now (be ten years this jan.) I sat on my kitchen floor, tears streaming, pilot lights blown out and the gas on with a bottle of vodka. I figured I would drink myself to the point of passing out and die. I saw my guitar and decided to play one more time...I'm still waiting for that one more time...

I got into music retail at that time and spent time with Mars music, a small local chain "Action Music" and a large local chain "Daddy's Junky Music" I left music retail to start a home entertainment business in 2002, but my sister passed away and left me well off (she never married but owned one of the largest real estate companies on Martha's Vineyard, in fact I did too for a couple months). So now I am retired. (after retail + a few other things like a pcr50 and some guitars)Image

33 years ago I got my first guitar and still love it, I still get the same kick I got at twelve...and my guitar saved my life...

There's my tail and yes one song near completion is called "One more time" it's not a sappy sad song but upbeat blues tune...just to always remind me.

Fwiw since almost killing myself I met my second wife adopted a little girl and am as happy a father/grandfather there is (I have a 23 year old son too, he made me a grandpa) :D[/img]
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
