i was assuming he meant anything from the early days of synthesis and up to them being more common place? so up to mid 80s when they first exploded in to popular culture.

Amongst the one-off's (or possibly three or four-offs, I can't remember), Don Muro's "It's Time" (1977) is very entertaining. Always loved "Island in the Sky."
