I like waves..... There are products I would like to demo and purchase but I wont break my system anymore.
I keep writing this only in hopes the a waves rep may read and keep count.

Support got back to me. Apparently Waves "had a temporary issue" yesterday that prevented me logging in. Great system.
Now I get an error that there are no licenses in My License Cloud so I can't install them. They must mean apart from the ones that are clearly visible in WC. If I try to install My Products nothing shows up.

Id advise anyone who's upgrading a new computer and especially changing network settings/providers to reconsider investing in any Waves products. If you do you run the risk of being locked out of your plugins as this confuses Central. If this is you and you try to fix it, good luck, that's all I can say. I tried everything support suggested, nothing worked so asked for refund, no luck there either.

Well I've arrived back where I began. Frustrating and time consuming installation process. Couldn't figure how to install to a particular directory. Worked around that. My DAW won't recognize the Waveshell. Uninstalled. Hopefully I remember this experience for longer this time. I'd hate to try again in 2 years and put people through another pointless Waves user experience.

Everybody bitches and moans about about dongles, but dongles are way better than any challenge response system. You just install your software on as many machines as you want, and that's it. No fanfare. BTW, Waves Central is not that bad to be honest but the problem that you are experiencing just plain sucks.morelia wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 11:39 pm Support got back to me. I keep blowing it off, but I think I want to put my Waves licenses on a USB stick and see how that goes. I hope they still allow you to do that. I'll have to research that.

Haven't had an issues with Waves yet but my Native Access updated when I went to put in the serial for the free trk-01 and then asked me to log in, and my password isn't working so I tried to reset it at the site but I still haven't gotten an email, I must of clicked reset 25 times. I don't even think I should have to log in to a program on my own computer with a password but whatever.

Damn brother sorry for yor frustraing experience. Sounds like you need a do over. Waves support will work with you. Obviously you have an acct and arent trying to exploit their rules. If your licenses are on the cloud....delete every trace of Waves stuff manually. Every Trace. then reinstall he latest waves central. download the 4 gig offline installer and try installing from there. Maybe restart windows after WC install and then again after you get the plugs installed.

It needs to access your account for activation and licensing of your plugins. So, pretty obvious why you have to fill in your password.SoundPorn wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 6:44 am Haven't had an issues with Waves yet but my Native Access updated when I went to put in the serial for the free trk-01 and then asked me to log in, and my password isn't working so I tried to reset it at the site but I still haven't gotten an email, I must of clicked reset 25 times. If SoundPorn means that this is not personally a preferred registration process then I agree.
They will, but I'm a bit over it to be honest. I made a mistake revisiting Waves. It has just pissed me off and wasted my time.
This was a clean computer. Never installed a Waves product on it. I did the reboot. Latest version of WC. Reset my password. I did eventually get CLA installed. I am not sure how to set the install directory but either way I finally got it installed (not that it should be this hard or time consuming). Couldn't get Reaper to recognise the Waveshell anyway so have deleted everything again.Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 12:46 pm .... delete every trace of Waves stuff manually. Tha could very well be it. only a couple of moths ago I got a new USB INTERNET ADAPTER. Waves Central would not see my plugins. I had to scour the internet only to find out that the log in process actually takes even THAT change into account. Basically, the system has to be IDENTICAL.
