Is there any work around to make managing presets easier? Like a 3rd party manager or such?EnochLight wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 7:32 pm The preset browser has always been awful with Spire. Hoping they modernize/fix it. Shouldn't take them long since they abandoned the RE...

Really? Where? That would be awesome.

It is so bad right now that I won't use this thing until it is fixed. The workflow to successfully save a preset is ludicrous. I can hardly believe it was released this way, and that it is still so bad, years later, is just inexcusable.

Ok...because I knew they were talking about it a few years ago. Glad they seem to have some progress on it. So many others get it right, and Spire is a great synth with a harsh workflow when it comes to presets.

Preset management indeed is simply terrible, so badly designed. I really hope for an update of it soon. Would love to see more wavetables plus improved envelopes, would love them to be more graphical and that you can draw your own. Man can dream, right?

Does Spire have a sound set that specialises in sequenced patches? You know like the KS sequence patches in Dune 3 that almost sound like complete songs. Anyone have recommendations?

Check out some of the factory patches. They do that.
On the other hand, there's only so much you can do without layers in the synth. Note that Dune allows for 8 layers of the synth, while Spire doesn't have any layering.

Just my opinion, but i can live very well without layers. Actually, i prefer to use multiple instances instead. Layers in a synth seem like overkill to me. YMMV.
