Hey Guys!

I was wondering if I could get some advice on producing Techno with Modular and Hardware synths. I'm looking into buying some gear for Producing Techno! :phones:

What would be some Essesntials for Hardware and Modular for producing good Techno that sounds Raw and Chunky?

Thanks!! 8)

What is your experience with synths and producing in general?

If you are starting out from scratch I would load up your DAW of choice and start there finding out what types of sounds or styles you gravitate towards. FL studio has a 303 emulation baked in along with all types of percussion and effects that will cover techno.

If you want to go purely hardware I would suggest picking up a cheap analog mixer and synths and drum machines that have built in sequencers and/or effects.

Techno is largely processing, your tracks won't sound right without compression and reverbs and delays so having those built in is essential when you are noodling around.

Digitakt or a tr8s would be a good start.

I say blow a lot of money on an Elektron Analog Four and Analog Rytm. You can thank me later.
