Finally got Mixbus 5 to install, load and register. (Took five reboots since every prior attempt would disable the audio.)
All starts as expected now. On each new start, it confirms audio and midi properties including showing that it recognizes the devices I have hooked up to it.
Am able to insert a track and load a plugin. But when I go for the midi controller, none of them show. Contacted support, it took them three times as long to get back to me than it did with the registration problems.
And their answer was they had no mapping for my controllers and that I would need to make them myself or get them from somewhere else. Asked them for instructions on mapping for Mixbus, and they tell me I have to get that from somewhere else also.
Can anyone tell me where I might get these?
My controllers on this machine are:
Studiologic VMK-188 plus
Emu xBoard 61
Korg Nanopad 2
(Win10/Xeon v3/20GB/SSD.)

FWIW (I'm Windows user)
You can view maps in: (my defaulted install location)
C:\Program Files\Mixbus5\share\ardour5\midi_maps
(much to learn from the included files; after that you have to go to the Ardour manual)
