Sonic Foundry bought ACID Pro 3.
Sonic Foundry upgraded to ACID Pro 4.
Sony upgraded to ACID Pro 6.

Have all serial numbers.

New computer. Can't find ACID Pro 3 to reinstall. Paid Magix $12.99 for support. Nothing yet.

Does anyone know of an archive for older versions of software and specifically ACID Pro?

Thanks.

it's only $99 to upgrade to the latest version. I started with AP 2 myself. But if talked to support I am sure they will get back to you. But if I was going to continue to use it I would recommend upgrading.

Thanks ...

Had that in mind down the road ... but the Magic Acid forum is full of complaints about stability, the dark GUI and other issues. I'd prefer to wait until the new x64 version is better sorted out.

That's why I'm looking for 3.0 so I can move back to 6.0 for now.

I always thought acid was originally coded by sonic foundry ( pretty sure about that ) , not acquired by at 3.0.

Sorry, that was me that bought Acid 3.0, not Sonic Foundry. The crossover to Sony came, as I recall, during 4.

Good to know someone is making sure the 'ayes' are dotted and the 'tees' crossed around here. :)

But I guess no one has an idea about an archive of old versions?

I can’t help but wonder if you might find an old disc of AP 3 on eBay, or something. You know, I think 56k modems were the standard, and there wasn’t a whole lot of downloading going on, beyond people sharing mp3s and loops on Acid Planet. You may find someone with a disc image and a serial number, if nothing else. I was kind of late to the Acid game. I’m pretty sure I had 3 but, I moved across country and gave all of that stuff away in 2011. I have to wonder if AP 3 will run on anything other than Windows 98SE...maybe XP

Did you see Archive.org?

Thanks. Good tips. I'll look into it. Still waiting on Magix support ... which charged me $12.95 to get support.

That link contains keygens & (presumably) cracks ... you should probably remove it from your post.
