Well I feel terrible. I've said so many bad things about Waves. But, after a mere 5 days trying to install my licensed plugins, and 4 support emails I have finally succeeded in what I set out to do so many days ago. And really, is that too much to ask of a customer. Again, sorry Waves, you are doing a fantastic job and I for one would like you acknowledge my hasty diatribe and ensure you that in future I will happily cop any bullshit you see fit to heap upon this paying customer. I'd quote Psalm 22:6 but this is not the place and I am not slightly religious so there would be little to gain. Waves, hold your heads high, do not lower your gaze lest your vision be dealt the blow of witnessing a lesser being gazing upward in hopeful fantasy that he may one day catch a glimpse of understanding, of the brilliant minds you possess. In closing I would like to thank everyone in this thread. Firstly those who supported me and my hateful journey. Shame on you. You have only fueled the fire of my hateful arrows, fired without just cause at a noble and undeserving target. To those that mocked me, or even pointed out I may not be doing all I could, shame on you. In this particular case, outrage was called for. I'm thinking of phrases like, burn the heretic and so on. Please, in future, when you see me question the Waves overlords, beat me down. If I get up beat me down again. I must not be allowed to rise and face the company until I see them, not as my enemy, but as my better. As a shining example of what a human being can be. And lastly, I would like to say thanks to everyone, but especially to Waves, for allowing me the opportunity to grow. I will now commit myself to a lifelong goal of truly appreciating Waves, as a company, as a group of people, but more importantly, the company with the best damn plugin installation and registration system ever conceived.

Are you accepting a noble peace award in the near future or writing the screenplay for a medieval film and need some practice? That's how this reads.morelia wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 6:33 am Well I feel terrible. I've said so many bad things about Waves. And your opinion is your opinion, not gospel. They do not make the best plugins nor have the best registration system. That is a fact that can't be argued, regardless of how much lipstick you smear on that pig.

Yep, that's me, how do you know me so well? After using computers for music production since Notator SL on an Atari, and then the days of the first vst's and vsti's in Cubase VST 3.5 in 1997 until now. I have pretty much been obsessed with this industry and ITB music production for I don't know how long but it must be nearly 30 years. After seeing nearly every plugin release and demoing many of them and trouble shooting almost every issue I've ever had without even going to a developer I have arrived at this point. The point which I would have thought to be the peak of my knowledge and experience in this field. But no, I was wrong, what I actually need is a basic computer course. Thank you for your honest and accurate appraisal of my situation. I'll be in touch soon with my local tertiary institution requesting enrollment in their finest introduction to computer based music production.shyko76 wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 6:40 am Honestly, it's not that hard! Maybe you need a basic refresh on how to operate a computer? I really can't believe that people have these kind of issues...

I think the secret in life is also in dealing, and coping with things which make life more complicated. Unfortunately, the internet gives everyone a immediate, always accessible platform to complain about literally everything. Not meaning to be rude, it's just that it's so easy to get pissed off, and complain about things, instead of dealing and coping with then.

Not that I know of but it would be a nice surprise. I think I have a lot to offer in the field of amicable peaceful resolution.Kinh wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 7:31 am Are you accepting a noble peace award in the near future or writing the screenplay for a medieval film and need some practice? I don't understand why people insist on saying your opinion is your opinion. I know my opinion is my opinion. That's why I said it. I remember the moment clearly. It was around 4.30pm. I had a thought about the whole Waves installation fiasco I (PERSONALLY) was experiencing and it occurred to me that I should share MY opinion. I don't know about other people but I find it very difficult to share the opinion of other people as there seems to be something lacking. Like maybe access to their thoughts and experiences. I don't know, just sand-boxing really. Anyway. My opinion is my opinion. In a leap of faith (and sorry if you have special powers) but I'm going to assume your opinion is your opinion as well. Just seems to me to be the way this thing works. So, are we arguing or agreeing? I'm confused.
And apologies to you. I should have checked but are you referring to a local noble peace award in your local community? If so I'm not really interested in that. I mistakenly thought you were referring to the Nobel Peace Prize which in my opinion would be worth receiving. Again, I'm not saying that my opinion is gospel, or even that someone couldn't share that opinion. Just that I would need this information to come from the individual claiming to a a positive association with receiving a Nobel Peace Prize, or even the lesser known noble peace award for that matter.

Om, ting, om, Ahem! cough cough. Sorry, I was just meditating for a moment. I've been dealing with this for 2 years. And now after two years of not using plugins that I paid a lot of money (it is to me personally) I tried to reinstall one single plugin I thought could be handy. Everything went wrong in WC. Nothing worked as it said it would. There were system outages and logging in was not possible (even according to waves). It took 5 days and multiple emails to sort this out. I've been through this shite before and it was just as painful last time. I stupidly thought maybe they had improved or changed something. It's not a sudden meltdown. This is an issue I have been struggling with on and off for a long time and I'm having a little tantrum about it. If that seems uncool to you then fine. I understand it looks bad. But I'm pissed off. I've dealt with this for years without losing my cool. That can only last for so long. Or are kvr member now cyborgs?chk071 wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 12:19 pm I think the secret in life is also in dealing, and coping with things which make life more complicated.
