Are you sure that is an issue? I don’t know any synth whose filter completely closes shut. If you put an analyser audio always passes through usually subsonics. I’ve tested other VA synths.

Yeah, Spire just outputs (quite) a bit more.

There are several synths where the filter close until you won´t hear or even see anything beside at the really low end.

I must admit that i'm a bit confused over why it happens in the lower octaves. It would make sense, if there were frequencies leaking in the high octaves, but, in the lower octaves? I really think it's a bug.

It is a low PASS filter, after all.

Ok .... played with it some more ....

It's all still a bit too idiosyncratic for my taste, but playing with those slope level (leaving it at zero helps here) and slope time ADSR parameters, helps out.

You just need to set the slope time so that it matches the envelope of the filter.

Honestly?

Because I don't know whether it' s a design feature, or a bug.

The sound/behaviour itself doesn't bug me too much, if at all, because (for my use) it only affects some tight unison bass sounds, and I can tweak those with the slope level/time settings.

But, Spire is a cool synth so, for it to behave kinda weirdly in certain areas is kinda (no pun intended) weird. IMO, when you close down the filter it should be closed.

Sounds great but one bugbear I have with your preset packs is you never list how many samples are included in the one shots/FX, it would be nice to know as a buyer

Drum one-shot samples: 100 (distributed as wet - dry samples so it's almost 50 unique samples)
Loop samples: 120 (distributed in the same way as above)
.spf presets: 100 (available individually in the kits)
.sbf bank: 100 presets (same as the presets above but collected in a single bank)
zip archive size: 517 MB
Unzipped size: 1.11 GB
