Dead pixels in tft monitor?

When I bought my TFT it had a bad pixel (blue one). I brought it back to the place I bought it and asked for a replacement. The one they gave me in exchange also had a bad pixel (red this time). I brought it back again and made quite a fuss into the store. Luckily, the 3rd one they gave me was perfect.

Warranties and policies are one thing. How loud you shout is another Bring it back to the store immediatly and ask for a new one !

BTW, the most reliable way to detect these bad pixels is to open a command prompt and make it fullscreen (alt-enter).

1 pixel is too much, when you buy a television you don't want any missing pixels either

if you want to run your machine at 1280x1024 you want 1280x1024 not 1279x1023
