Sorry, I meant the latter. I never use sound packs so I wasn't even aware new were addedmutantdog wrote: Thu Dec 27, 2018 11:21 amBuild & Drop, Chop & Swing, Drive & Glow, Glitch & Wash, Punch & Tilt, Skitter & Step. All of these are "created by Ableton in collaboration with leading sound designers."
Creative Extensions and Probability Pack are both made by third parties but nevertheless both have been added to 10 Suite since release.

Those were all 3rd party stuff, not done by Ableton.mutantdog wrote: Mon Dec 24, 2018 12:02 amSince Live 10 we've had a good number of Live Packs added to Suite. A lot of the older M4L devices have been updated and improved upon.
Yes of course but no way way everything will be out with 10.1 release plus an ios version at the same time. So the question is which one you expect first

But the poll isn't asking about 10.1 (or "which one first"), just what are they working for in general?andypryce wrote: Thu Dec 27, 2018 4:34 pmYes of course but no way way everything will be out with 10.1 release plus an ios version at the same time. So the question is which one you expect first

I think they released Push 2, 4-5 years ago, so we can expect push 3 soon.

Also not too long ago, they put out an employment opportunity request for experienced hardware product engineers, so one would hope that this was for the development of Push 3 and that its announcement at least, is just around the corner.Touch The Universe wrote: Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:00 pm I think they released Push 2, 4-5 years ago, so we can expect push 3 soon.

Thanks. Looks like I caught a big one. I was making a guess and putting that out there, hoping someone would take the bait and either correct me or give me some juicy news.
The downside is I was probably just a few weeks from ordering one a push 2 and will make the purchase uneasy a bit, in case they release push 3 just 6 months later or something. If they do, I'll just sell and upgrade, so no biggie.
Cheers.

I bet they are working with Andy to make a synth that uses the Drop filters.

I'll be pretty sad if they release another Push. Push 2 is so incredibly badly supported and still so much in it's infancy that it really boggles the mind.
It's display and numerous buttons would allow it to be a completely "hands off mouse" music production experience but it's nowhere even remotely close to that yet. It could be an amazing sequencer but there are so many small basic workflow things completely missing. Basically it would be possible to make it an Electron <insert any model with sequencer> on steroids (kind of what Live is in my opinion) but it's infuriatingly limited as a controller considering the potential.

There's nothing that I'm aware of that completely removes the need for touching the mouse, unless you want to create some very basic stuff. Native Instruments Machine comes the closest in my opinion but it's still lacking some finer details of editing things, last time I checked.. also the Machine environment isn't really a fully fledged DAW experience unlike Ableton Live.

yeah it is a bit frustrating, the wasted potential of this cool device.bmanic wrote: Tue Jan 01, 2019 2:59 am I'll be pretty sad if they release another Push. Push 2 is so incredibly badly supported and still so much in it's infancy that it really boggles the mind.![]()

to be fair, if one only uses the integrated Live instruments and effects, you get lots of mileage from a Push.
but that's a rare scenario, everyone has their vst's they like to use. Push just wasn't designed as something that can work well for universal plugin control. there's more focus on making flashy stuff happen on the pads with the max4live devices.

...and yet so many point releases and feature additions seem focussed completely on Push. Bit annoying for a non-Push user, TBHbmanic wrote: Tue Jan 01, 2019 2:59 am I'll be pretty sad if they release another Push. Push 2 is so incredibly badly supported
