Let the sound speak for itself and listen to Oxium : 12 minisongs and dozens of clips of separate instruments in isolation

Oxium Tracks

Separate instruments in isolation
Maybe I missed it, but are there other sources for the sounds. No Flash Player here ;) (actually it's more like, I don't want to use that security whole :D)
Here a short video with some unusual sounds you can et with Oxium.

Lot's of other Oxium sound examples & thematic examples on my YT channel btw. And probably more in the -hopefully not too- far future.

It's the WRX of synths - everyone's looking at the Porsche and you're flying by in your Suby... Or something like that...

In any case, always underrated, and easy to get great sounds out of (and maybe more importantly - it's hard to make it sound bad, which is not the case with a lot of synths were one tweak and you're off the rails).

After I installed the banks I cannot ear lots of presets. In Reaper 4 and Samplitude Pro X (windows 7) I can only ear some sounds.

I open Oxium, play the default preset, it works fine.
I select a Juno sound (example), the sound doesn't play. I save the preset from the DAW save patch option. Delete Oxium from the track. Open Oxium again, open the saved preset, the sound plays.
Anyone with this problem too?
Thanks
Rods
Is this problem solved?

I have installed the latest version, but a similar situation has occurred.(Windows7 64bit,FL Studio and Studio One 4.)
No sound will be heard when changing the preset.

Even if I change the installation destination several times, this situation does not improve.
I saw manuals, notes on download page, forums etc, but I do not know clearly. :(

Where should I install, will this problem be solved?
(By the way, this situation does not occur in the demo version.)

There's a bug, and it affects a small number/percentage of systems, but it is real (has been reported by several users already, though not reproductible at the moment on Xils systems, and mine). It's not the same bug than 5 years before, wich has been fixed for a long time, it's a brand new one :( (possible regressive from version 1.5.4)

Xils is working hard at the moment to solve it. 99,99% chances it will be fixed very quickly, in the following days, or even hours in the best case. Please be patient, Xils has always been very responsive and reactive for this kind of fixes. I'll keep you informed here.

Fair play - some extremely good sound designer names there.

I bought Oxium around the time it first came out and it's definitely a very capable synth. For some reason, it seems to fly under the radar a lot, both seemingly with the public and also sound designers (top of my head, only you Lotuzia plus literally a couple of others such as VSP appear to have made extra soundbanks for it?).

Maybe because it doesn't emulate a particular 'legendary/vintage/identified' model. Anyway, it's probably a synth vintage synth manufacturers would have died for having on their catalogue back in the days. It has a unique sound, inbetween VCOs and DCOs, and the filters have a kind of Roland Jupiterish vibe. And otoh are much more versatile. Unique modulators and sequencers, and worst of all : It sounds deliciously good, punchy, and ... analog :)

just updated my oxium, great to see some new development, though I still see some weird behavior on windows 7, the x64 vst...
the pw mod selector which cycles lfo 1 2 3, often gets stuck either between 1 and 2 or 2 and 3.
also, changing the number of bars completely messes up the sequence, even when you revert it to the proper one it was made with.
and the bank import/export bug, where you have to remove some files to make it work, is still there, though it looks like it doesn't corrupt (or duplicate) the drop-down menu entries anymore.

Please make sure you have the latest v1.5.5 ULed yesterday. It should fix the Sequencer changing number of bars problem, and also Importing the banks.(I did not understand this part of your post about removing some files etc to make it work)
Bank export/import should also always work with this version, whatever your system, because Oxium current promo period is coupled with the free Jupiter 8 soundbank, and it seems it works with everyone now at the moment (problem was actually playing presets for certain systems, whatever they were newly imported, or not) . If however a bug should remain , please contact Xils using the contact utility on their site, with details on your system (os/daw/oxium versions) so that they can help you and possibly fix something.

Also : At some point, Oxium will inherit Xils new preset manager ( Like Xils 4, StiX etc). It will make things easier.

the workaround to import banks was to go in the installation folder and remove XilsFiles32.dll and XilsFiles64.dll, then it worked...

I can confirm I'm on 1.55 27 Dec. I'll notify them.

Thanks for the report. It made sense, as these are the NPM files.

It is now fixed in the last version (Date 31/12)

I just noticed there's a 2.0 beta version currently available... It's nice to see an update for it. I think it's an underappreciated but very good sounding synth. However, the GUI could be greatly improved, IMO.

Was just talking about this synth - always loved the sound. Awesome news!
