cubase sx2.2 - usb-mididevice question / help needed

hey there!

after my complete new installation (format c: and stuff. actually i had to install the whole system 6 times, because it took that long to figure out, that my computer dont like the nforce2 ide-drivers ;( ) it seems that my usb-midi device (evolution mk-249c²) gets listed inside the options in sx2.2 _only_ as [emulated] the not emulated entries appear nowhere which they did before the fresh installation.
does anyone have any ideas?! i've searched trough the manual, checked the used drivers for the usb-mididevice (it uses the standard winXP usb drivers. i tried it with the evolution drivers, changed nothing.) so what am i missing? please help

Are you having MIDI timing problems?

Are you using the latest drivers for the device from the manufacturer's website?

If yes, first do the ignoreportfilter as mentioned in the Steinberg knowledgebase http://service.steinberg.net/knowledge_ ... midi_ports

If that doesn't work visit the MIDI timing page

wow. that was quick help! thanks a lot. the knowledge base article helped and on that midi timing page i found out, that my motherboard is kind of imune to timing problems. thanks!
