I installed Reaper in the same pc that i have CbB.
When Reaper starts it scans for vst. I saw CbB vst pass by.
So i started a track and opened FX to see what i could find. I found all vst that was on the pc. Both freebies and paid.
I wasn't aware of this.
I tested a synth from waves and it worked fine.
I guess i could have CbB, Reaper, S1 and Tracktion on the same pc and using the same vst, only not at the same time. :o
Where you aware of this?

Why would you not be able to use your VST's in different DAW's?

Post

yeah, you have a vst folder, in your host point it to that folder.

I just hadn't thought of it. It surprised me. Noone ever mentioned it anywhere.
Why just this is evident but installing a vst is so hard, according to frequent question and answers??

I somehow have a hard time understanding you. Why is installing a VST hard? And which frequent questions and answers are you talking about?

Of course. That's pretty much the point of having a standard for plugins in the first place, so that any compliant DAW can use them

Yeah. You can use them in wave editors and some video production software too. Amazing eh? :hyper:
