Just wondering, patiently, eagerly....

Will there be one this year? Is there usually one?

You know, they normally have one around NOW. I have no idea what’s different about this year. I’m kind of surprised, to be honest. They usually have sales in June and December. If it helps, ProAudioStar is having a software sale right now. I’m not sure what the discount would be, though.

I got an email from Ableton a week or so ago offering an upgrade/update discount (I have a previous Live version & lite 10) of 15%. I thought it was a bit "whatever".

This is a... tragedy.

My demo for Live 10 has run out and I'm preying to the DAW gods that Ableton will be on discount for New Years. Where's the justice? I cannot wait 6 months!

Can we prey together?

Why not just buy a cheap copy of Live 9 Standard and use that in the mean time?

Btw it's "Pray" not "Prey"

I’d just wait for the next sale opportunity. It may not come as soon as you would like but, it’ll come. It seems like Loop was late this year, and it must have screwed up their promotions cycle, or something. I find the whole thing to be unusual, to be honest. I’d also be looking at some retail sites who offer their own sales on software. I actually upgraded to Live 10 Suite thru Musicians Friend...I think they had a discount code, and I had some “loyalty dollars” to spend. I got a pretty good deal that way. I think the upgrade was only $125 when I did it

Nowadays just saw there are many Ableton licenses on the Sell &Buy topic.
I also try to sell a Live 9 standard at secondhand price.
If Ableton will do a discount, - IF- don't expect something huge.

Maybe not going to happen... I noticed Sweetwater had the upgrades on sale right after Xmas but those are gone already? 7-9 standard to 10 for $229. I honestly don't really want all the instruments in Suite, but Max and Wave. Hmmm... Kind of making the choice hard aren't they.

....that's exactly what I'd do as well. In fact, where is the best place to get these at? Here? Most on Ebay are kind of sketchy, at least the ones I've dealt with.

I'm on Live 9 Intro (I just missed the free upgrade to Live 10 ) so I've stuck with 9. Only reason I need Standard is for Max For Live.

Out of Abletons perspective its „pay“ not „pray“...

Look at it as a chance, get Bitwig 8-track or some other tools and you longing for Live might fade...

Ableton Xmas Sale 2018?
