Yeah, I have this with the PSP bundles where I've allready purchased the biggest bundle but still the lesser bundles show up after I've ticked to not show stuff I've purchased and I've had to check them all to see if they contained anything I din't allready have. :?

I have a few questions:

* Is there a way you can label modules as patching goes all over the place.
Like an enveloppe can be used for the amp, for the filter. A oscillator can be used as such or as an FM source.
Can you label modules (like AMP ENV, FLT ENV,..) and in general make patches more insightfull by grouping them in some way like is done in a non-modular synth.
* It would be nice if you could add notes the explain the usage of the patch.
* I saw a patch where an the output of an oscillator is routed to the frequency mod of another oscillator. Is this the common way to do FM or what are other common ways?
My goal here is to introduce FM possibilities as in the Arp Odyssey.

Thx for your advice.
Plexuss' response was correct (thanks Plexuss) - presently there isn't a way to label modules themselves, but you can use blank panels in the vicinity.

Re adding notes to explain a patch, that is not a bad idea in theory, but it would be really difficult, and to be honest, much of the time our preset programmers have happy accidents and don't know exactly why something sounds like it does; that's kind of par for the course with modular synthesis.

I saw a patch where an the output of an oscillator is routed to the frequency mod of another oscillator. Is this the common way to do FM or what are other common ways?

Yes it is. There is really no difference between routing a low-frequency oscillator into an osc mod input (for standard vibrato effects) as opposed to routing an audio-range oscillator. The only difference is that audio-range mod creates sidebands that alter the oscillator tonality, aka FM.

The best way to is to post them in the Voltage Modular user forum: https://forums.cherryaudio.com. We check it regularly. You can post bugs or discuss anything else related to Voltage there.

Thanks for your continued support, and have a good New Year!

Everything you own is supposed to show up in the store; it's possible the store site might not be 100% dialed in. I'll communicate this to our store/URL/web wizard. If it's not right, it'll get fixed!

Cool. It may be that as I bought Core, not Ignite, they are showing as separate products. But the contents of the product should dictate whether it shows as covered by my existing purchases.

Im the same, own all the big packs but the minor packs and individual modules that belong to those packs don't get filtered out.

My main moan is that the shop is really slow to load and update when applying filters.

Well, I finally downloaded the demo as today is the last day of the sale and, while I love the way it sounds, I have two problems that will be keeping me from getting this.

1. The main problem, and I'm not sure what's causing it, is that I am getting intermittent audio clicks, pops and other artifacts when playing some of the patches. Some are worse than others. I've checked the CPU and it's not that. CpU usage is never more than about 50% even on the most complex patches. But for some reason the audio glitches from time to time.

2. Unlike Softube, whose modules are nice and big, the size of these modules, while not what I would call "tiny" does give me a more cramped feel when using it. I would find programming this less than enjoyable because of the module size.

The irony is, at least IMO, is that this modular actually sounds better than Softube and appears to be more affordable based on what I am seeing so far. And while issue 2 is something I could maybe learn to live with and adapt to over time, issue 1 makes this a definite no go for me. If the audio glitches than I can't use it in productions. Shame, because some of those presets are wicked.

Anyway, I'll be passing on this one. But I can definitely see the attraction, especially if you guys are using it without issues.

Good luck to the company. I think you have a great product for those who find they can run it cleanly.

You can adjust the zoom level, "fixing" the modules size issue quite easily :)

Hi Wags

On (2) is it the control spacing on the individual modules that bothers you, or the fact that the interface can only be scaled to 150% ?

The 1 week demo is unfortunately very short and like an idiot I activated mine just before xmas and ended up having zero time to play with it. However, I have really crappy eyesight and I found the scaling worked for me in my brief tryout.

Cheers (& happy new year!)

I think it's a combination of the spacing, size and color. I feel like I'm looking at a comic book. And while it's cool to look at just for the pure experience, it's not a joy to look at for programming.

But like I said, this is something I could learn to live with but the audio problem makes this a deal breaker.

Okay, the zoom makes things much better but those audio glitches.

Can somebody pull up "Classic Lead 1"?

Is it supposed to have all that crackling in it?

I'm playing it and there's no crackling or audio artifacts @48KHz, 512 samples

Well, I have no idea what's going on but the audio problem seems to have cleared up. I haven't opened or closed any additional programs and I haven't done anything other than reload Voltage. Even then, it didn't work at first but now it does.

Am I correct that today is the last day for the $99 price for Core and the drum modules?

I find the colors and module design very off putting. Way too much color, makes it look a bit like Lego on busy patches. Wished they kept a more minimalist/Eurorack type of design.

Yeah... I choked on that "first impression" at the first preview (@NAMM?). I've never-ever-ever been a fan of pastels :dog: , and when there are two of the pastel shades/hues I can't stand on one module, it is considerably off putting to say the least. The green and yellow ones in particular make me gag, the blue is too blah, and the red is just too. I feel like I'm flipping through color-swatches for a geriatric wards bathroom makeover, and a fire truck shows up.

That being said, I totally love the sound, and over-all ease of use. And the cpu hit on my 7-yr-old [Athlon Phenom II black-edition x6, 32Gb ram] Windows-7 machine, is minimal no matter what I have loaded/configured/tested. So we will be getting this. :tu:
