Yeah, I'd take PC&L over Movement any day, but mine is probably Brotherhood.

I do really like P, C & L. It has a lot of the darkness that i love about Movement, and none of the cringe-worthy moments of later albums (Which I still liked; At least, before Technique). But we are talking about debut albums, here. Even then, when I went through my period of really hating their music, I could still listen to 'Movement'. It's just so dark and claustrophobic, lyrically and musically (Not surprising given the circumstances), and seemed like a perfect statement of intent.

well, i was just saying what i preferred.... for me Movement was a continuation of JD, whereas PCL, was a new direction, and so to me anyway, seemed more like a debut album

I got that you were indicating your preference I'd still argue that at least half of PCL belonged to 'Movement', but the rest was definitely a lighter feel.

Was relistening to Kate Bush's 'The Kick Inside' yesterday and marvelling at what an amazingly mature and well written album this was for someone who was barely out of her teens (some songs were written as young as 15 even though the album came out when she was 18).

Yes, an outstanding LP and fantastic artist.

Great record, its was his second.

it was his first solo record, 'Children Of The Sun' was a record, he did with his elder sister Sally in 1969. Björk recorded three lps with Sugarcubes, before she made her 'Debut' btw.
