But with the Dark Side Of The Moon, Roger became THE lyricist and the main driving force?

David Gilmour was "reacting" to Roger Waters? This means that Roger would do something and THEN David Gilmour would add music to what Roger Waters already did? Most of the time?

Question marks there.
Thats all pretty much nonsense. Waters wrote songs on everything after Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. Watch "live at Pompeii" sometime. There's a lot of footage of them writing & recording DSOTM.
Roger wrote 2 songs on Piper: Pow R. Toc H and Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk. They shared writing credits for Interstellar Overdrive.

I would make the argument that from "More"(1969) to "Obscured by Clouds" (1972), Wright was one of the major forces in the band.

It's sad he died that young. PF is like the Beatles, insofar that the whole has always been greater than the sum of its parts. I certainly prefer listening to him and David sing than Roger.

Yes, thanks. The Guardian reviewed it in the last day or so.

Thanks just read it - pretty rubbish review, very shallow and descriptive writing, even got one of her song titles wrong

Good to know. I had forgotten. I once had a copy of the original mono pressing of Piper, but sold it in my youth. I still have a cassette copy somewhere.
