Noticed that finally appears usual normal installation archives with version numbers at official page (for Byome and Zip at least), instead installation manager. Many thanks to PA.

We've updated our internal version of JUCE that seems to fix the HiDPI stuff, but it ended up causing a number of other more major crash issues. We believe we have all of the crashes sorted, but we still have a lot of QA to do with such a massive JUCE change. I apologize for the delay. We are definitely working on addressing all of this.

So it's delayed.Sampleconstruct wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 6:06 amPage 51 in this thread, posted on December 11th:

Does Byome heavily restrict what parameters can be connected to modulators, or is the gui just not working properly in Bitwig? (Like other Unfiltred Audio products, gui is extremely off in Waveform 9, where it misreads the cursor position as being significantly above and to the right of its actual position.) What's restricted and allowed doesn't make sense---I can modulate Xfeedback but not Feedback? One sine oscillator will take a modulator, but the other sine oscillator won't take any modulators?
Edit: Doesn't seem to work properly in FL Studio either. GUI seems very buggy: connections will flash and then disappear (specificically, connection from Feedback in Instant Delay to modulator), and I was eventually able to get it to connect to Feedback after repeat attempts.
Edit: It definitely seems to be a gui issue, since I can make the connection if I flail around with the mouse and hit exactly the right spot on the screen, which is significantly to the right and below where it actually should be, even though aside from connections the gui appears to be working in Bitwig and FL Studio.

I'm assuming you're on high-DPI / 4k screen? Try toggling the OpenGL acceleration in the plugin.Ou_Tis wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:05 am Does Byome heavily restrict what parameters can be connected to modulators, or is the gui just not working properly in Bitwig? We submitted a patch with better HiDPI support and other bug fixes. Some of PA's QA team is out on holiday, so hopefully they can get it tested and released soon.

(Probably) lame question: How -except from keeping an eye on this forum thread- will I know that there is a new version out? As far as I know, the PA installation manager doesn´t inform me... is there a better way? If there is none yet, could you create a mailing list just for update notifications?thelizard wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 4:36 pm We submitted a patch with better HiDPI support and other bug fixes. Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't help. However, I found a method for making connections consistently: if I start the connection by clicking on the modulator, then slowly move the cursor sideways (but not up/down), it will make the connection about 3 cm to the right of the parameter to be modulated.antic604 wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 3:02 pmI'm assuming you're on high-DPI / 4k screen? It can be track now thru names of plugins installers archives, as usual in PA before, in bottom of product page or in account. (It's one of reason why i find lacks of separate installers as inconvenient).epiphaneia wrote: Thu Jan 03, 2019 5:01 pm(Probably) lame question: How -except from keeping an eye on this forum thread- will I know that there is a new version out? Great that they changed this again. If they want the PluginManager to be usefull they need to include Version Numbers, Changelogs etc. in there.
Can't wait for the Byome Bugfix Update
By far my favorite Plugin, so hopefully afterwards I can start using it more frequently without the crashes

i'm thinking of buying this, but my demo has expired (go PA)... I only had the chance to use it one time, and i didn't build anything too hight tech, but it sounded great. I just I really can't be arsed to read this whole thread, can anyone give me the downlow on the CONS of this beast... CPU use, mod rates... incompatibilities... bugs... any honest feedback, pet peeves.
I guess the main one would be getting caught in a time vortex ?
forgetting to go to work maybe
