I truely hope that this ain't true.
I was pretty peeved about Sony getting their mits on Acid.
If Apple get their teeth into it, the end of the world is surely nigh...

Why would Sony sell it - they are a slightly large company - no logic in more ways than one. Also, Acid is only PC so why would apple bother unless they truly are evil

The problem is they can try that tactic but Windows will just go into competition with them eventually.

KICK ASS!!!
Edit:
Sonofafarkinbitch! Apple you screwed me on this!!!!
I was hoping to use my 12" Powerbook to use this feature, but the 12" only has 10/100 Ethernet -- not Gigabit Ethernet. f**king shit. Do they look at the 12" as just a glorified iBook? Hell, I bought an iBook over the Powerbook last time because I needed something far more portable than Powerbooks that were out at the time. I'd go apeshit for a 10" Powerbook just the same -- if I need the size, I'll plug in an external monitor when I get home. I don't. I want something as small and as powerful as possible -- and as such I went with a 12" as opposed to the massive 15 inchers. I had a Wallstreet before all that, and the weight killed me.
And because I picked up the smallest one, Apple put in a 10/100 chip instead of a Gigabit chip -- which both are the same form factor, so its not to save space, but to encourage folks to go for the more expensive machines. Hint To Apple -- the last PC Laptop I bought was a Sony. I actually paid ***MORE*** to get it in a smaller package -- not less. I would have gladly paid more if they would have thrown in the same parts, but instead they wanted to do the Bigger Gets Ya More Even If The Part Is The Same Size.
No Distributed Logic for me for a while. I'll have to wait til I get that G5.

Bah - capitalists always harp on about how competition is the source of all progress and the best thing there is then do all they can to stifle it. If this is true it's just a cynical self serving act of vandalism.

The new text looks like it's been randomly pasted from another thread.
