I'm guessing people missed the conversation in site stuff about AnX a year or two ago...I'm not looking for it but yes Calandria, Dave's. I only made the point due to senseless off topic drama because people refuse to respect my request to stop this nonsense. I'm drawing another line (people just said fu hink to the first one, thanx)

Stay on topic...I wont ask again and I wont lock a devs thread announcing his synth.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

It's been frustrating to read! lol But Dune 3 is a nice update. Just having the bigger size with the new GUI is great. :tu:

Really loving this synth. Probably my favourite now. The filters are seriously awesome.
Is there anything im missing with hive? Tempted by that too, but at this point i have quite a few WT synths.

Not much. I have Dune 3 and Spire.I sold Hive, because these 2 is more than enough.
Hive is ok, but Dune 3 is much more (though i like and respect u-he synths. Most of them are outstanding!)

Dune 3 does cover considerable ground.
It stands out in a plethora of synths.

have the serial filters been fixed yet? or are we still just using it in parallel mode?

Hive can do more, better hard modern basses in my opinion. I think they are both worth having. I've made presets banks for both and they do overlap in some areas, but there is still enough differences to warrant owning both synths. :)

If you want to hear how phat Hive is you can check this audio demo - https://newloops.com/products/wavetable-hive-presets

(shameless I know, but I hope it helps show the sound)

when you put the filters in series and close filter 1, then push the balance to filter 2, you are getting a signal from "somewhere". moving the filter balance out of the center position throws the filters back into parallel no matter the algorithm you choose. we already had this conversation earlier.

Works as I expect it to using any of the 6 routing options.

Well, now I have heard everything - a demo for a sound bank with watermarking on it. Absolutely hilarious.

Hey Richard where are you?

Demoed it briefly the other day, couldn't decide why the 'fixed' routing option works the way it does, but it's not correct. The filter section needs serious attention.

For the 'new' 'fixed' serial mode:
- With 2 filters off and Effect ON but amount 0 the sound gets too loud, then with amount anything else, returns to 'normal'. Why?
- With balance at center and 2 bandpass filters tuned at different frequencies, I get no sound. They should be in parallel at center, remember? So why the sound disappears? Then I put the FX on - there's no fx either. What's going on?
- With balance 100% filt2, I'm getting 'something', but no sound is coming from f1 or the fx. Why? It should be getting from fx, and fx from f1.
- With F1 and Fx on, when turning the balance from 100% F1 to center, there's no fading into the fx but the 'sound' stays the same all over (edit: effected). Why? And f2 starts only after Balance goes right of center (which it shouldn't?*), but then fx gets progressively lost, until at 100% f2, there's no fx. Why???

etc.

* Watch "The House that Jack Built" to understand what I mean. There's an example of a man moving from lamppost 1 to lamppost 2 - THAT'S serial mode.
