I'm on Windows 7. I'm trying to mixdown this song. I got the master done but only after a bunch of tries. Now It';s the same thing with the no drums version. It keeps freezing around the same spot. I have to use task manager to close Cubase. This is a new problem. It's always something. :(
any ideas?

As much as I would like to be a prick and say it is Windows 7 (because it is)... there are really a million reasons for this. And more info would really help.

Does it freeze on mixdowns of other projects? Are you using plugins or is this audio only? Are you using inserts plugins or just Cubase 10 plugins? Are any of your plugins bridged (to 32 bits)? Have you had any issues with play back of the track? What is your rate of mixdown (ie 16 bit, 44.1k,etc.)? Are you using the ASIO Guard? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Hi thejonsolo. I just nailed down the culprit. Went through each (of many) plugins and it came down to the Acoustica Audio N4 Player which I was using for the Bronze EQ. Once I removed them the issue went away immediately. When I put the N4 back, same freezing.
All good now. Fortunately, I wasn't using Bronze much.
Thanks for responding though. :tu:

Glad you narrowed it down. It really IS usually a "bad" plugin. I had it happen several times to me, and was always glad when it was an effect instead of an instrument.
