Can anyone recommend a good Hohner electric piano plugin?
I've heard good things about the arturia and pianoteq. Are there any other contenders?
Thanks in advance!

Arturia don't make a pianet. There's Scarbee (Kontakt library), Keyscape, and Sampleson's Electrix which I believe is free.
Now Arturia does make a Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer set of electric pianos but no Hohner (Pianet). Note: IMO the Arturia electric pianos are very weak. I own a Wurlitzer and Rhodes and I'd advise looking at a good sample library over Arturia's plugins.

Sampleson's Electrix is no longer free—because it was so popular—but it's only 20 bucks and it sounds really nice for the price.

Sampleson's Electrix is actually the only Hohner that I can think of, but maybe there is one in Keyscape. However, if you need a Hohner the choice is super simple, just grab the Sampleson Electrix it sounds really good. If you don't want to pay the $20 you can still get it free somewhere per the site:
"When all this begun (just 6 month ago) we didn't imagine such a success! We started releasing free betas, then several studio-grade instruments for free. And we got shocked about the download numbers. Many musicians and producers around the comunity are using Electrix on a daily basis. We are so THANKFULL AND INSPIRED BY THIS!
The thing was we got a bill from our server and WOW... we are losing money. Supporting downloads and server cost forced us to charge something for our products.
Despite this, Electrix will still free to share with your peers and copy it as many times as you want because it's not serializer or copy-protected, and won't be ever.
On the other hand, if you are on education field or you feel you deserve a free copy to show the world your talent, just email us.
Sincerelly. Sampleson dev team

Keyscape. It cost a bit, but you'll get a wide selection of high quality playable instruments fully worth the price. You won't regret having it if you're a keyboard player.

Have a look at 'Velvet', by Air, not specifically a Hohner, but worth a mention. One can often obtain the whole package at a silly price from such as Plugin Boutique or AudioDeluxe.
"Velvet is a versatile instrument that features highly realistic emulations of the Fender Rhodes Suitcase, Fender Rhodes MK I and MK II Stage Pianos, Wurlitzer 200A and Hohner Pianet-T."

The velvet plugin sounds pretty good
Anybody used the ezkeys Hohner pack?
I tried the arturia but it's a little too clean sounding. It's also not that funky sounding either

OT, also the DB-33 organ is worth a listen too if classic sound is what you're after, it's another go-to that can also sound very 'dirty'.

I have ezkeys retro electric... I'm far too young to even have an opinion on such an instrument or its authenticity, but it sounds good to me, more so than the typical rompler patch called "Clavinet" I come across anyway.

Yes, but unfortunately only Pianet N and T, not the most interesting, I think, Pianet C /CH, which was used by the Beatles - first in 1965 e.g. "Tell me what you see", and then perhaps most famously saturated in 1967 "I Am the Walrus".aMUSEd wrote: Thu Jan 10, 2019 4:14 pm The Pianoteq Hohner collection is wonderful and physically modelled.
Pianoteq missed this one.
