+1 You beat me to it!whyterabbyt wrote: Fri Jan 11, 2019 2:26 pm Nothing beats Delia Derbyshire's original Dr Who theme.
But this is a classic.

+1 for the Doctor Who theme. The original is a classic, although this is my personal favourite variation of the title sequence.

Here's another classic.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

I think that's the one just before the Radiophonics Workshop took delivery of a bunch of shiny and expensive synths and made a thoroughly cheesetastic version (showing them off on Blue Peter or Tomorrow's World - can't remember which). It was downhill all the way after that.andrew71 wrote: Fri Jan 11, 2019 2:29 pm +1 for the Doctor Who theme. I am unsure if I want to include some of these newer movie themes. In most cases they are just samples put together by a computer. In many cases an AI puts the whole thing together using algorithms that analyze what people like and plays it it out. It's a karaoke track. Then the film industry throws a big party for itself telling itself how brilliant it is and everyone gets paid. If I were to include the newer producers I'd have to say thomas newman is consistently my favorite though.

John Powell´s masterpiece!
Classical music with contemporary modern elements make this soundtrack unique.
