You need to put them in the right folder. Also make sure you are using the latest beta because these patches make use of the new FM oscillator(my best guess of the problem). I am pretty sure they are included in the build that was released as Open Source. The post above yours mentions 'Super Thick Strings', that preset is in the 'Rozzer' section of presets.
