Dont know why you'd put an NVidia 6800 in a dedicated DAW at all unless you're testing out BionicFX. And Im confused as to why you'd spec your hard drive and graphics card, but not the actual processor.

when ever you mark a section of a song and cut both ends and move it to another place it will dazwischenrücken or the like but since I have absolutely no clue it could also be
a elephant which sings random songs - and he's called shuffel....
so it's more like the shuffel mode in windows media player...
but again it could be wrong... but I doubt it

thats all i found in the logic7pro pdf.Shuffle mode keeps regions from overlapping by restraining movement in relation to other regions.

so it's like I say....
take an audio file cut the beginning, mark it.... and move it to the middle ....the other parts will now surround the moved part....
meaning they will move accordingly
I guess..

Say you have two regions next to each other. Now you want to lengthen the first one by one bar. What you would usualy do in Logic is to first shorten the left side of the second region (or cut it), and then lengthen the right side of the first region.
In Shuffle mode you simply lenghten the right side of the first region, while the left side of the following region will shortened automatically.
This may seem like a little "so what?" detial, but once you've worked with this technique, you won't want to miss it never ever again!
Another aspect of this edit mode would be, that if you move or copy some part to a place where there are regions, they will be cut and replaced automatically so that the moved part is inserted rather than layered.
This in combination with the marquee tool and multiple undo gives you so much additional freedom when arranging, you won't believe it! At least I did, when I started to arrange in Live4 - it's 100% more intuitive.

AFAIK the exclusion of AUs from this feature in the first release is less a technical or political one, but more about license laws etc., since plugins would run on more than one machine. That's why they have not implemented it for now. But now that the feature has been released, they will clear out those things to make it possible for 3rd party developers to make use of it.egbert wrote:OK - so the Distributed feature is a little half-baked at this point.
