Hi
I am really fond of Sony DVD player I have, and also know they made many models with multi-resume.
Meaning - it memorize each played disk and where you ejected, stopped it last time - and just continue from there next time. Best is on ending texts and credits and stuff - then it works very nicely.
Current I have fix 6 disks, but know there are Sony stuff that do 40 disks and more.
But this, as far as I found - does not exist for Bluray players.
Many have a single(current) disk - but not many disks.
But sometimes not even that single one work, you end up from start anyway.
Not sure why that is?
I don't have tv, and buy everything in films and tv-series on DVD currently, and is held back buying on Bluray not having this feature.
Why - because I watch one episode of a series, and later another series next episode - and so forth. And unless having multi-resume you need to watch every disks startup crap, with disclaimers of piracy and whatnot - every time you are to watch next episode.
Did anybody find a BD player featuring multi-resume?
This is what sony call it, other brands might call it something else.
Bluray player with multi-resume memory - does it exist?

Don't know what's up with Sony et al, but each new gen player has less functionality than the previous. It gets dumbed down seriously.
Maybe blame streaming services...

Thanks. Yes, at first it looks like there are more features doing internet and having apps and whatnot.
But reality I found on a Panasonic BD player I have - that it's not maintained at all to keep up with internet development. Looking at how often web browsers are updated - and firmware on these units - there is no comparison. I bought it 2016, but last firmware is 2014, and still not updated since.
So big ideas but very little workshop, or what ever english expression might be.
One would think Sony, being part developer of BD format - that they could do the multi-resume on BD as well as on DVD. But when it comes to BD media sold, I've seen a lot of disclaimers that it may not work on all players and such - I mean what is that?
A film I might get on BD, but not tv-series boxes, too much hassle.
