Not telling anyone what to do its IMO!!!

Shit - get real.

chill out Flipper I was only picking holes in your argument to waste more time at work, I thought you would have seen that.

Maybe I was fishing, trying to catch a Flipper...

well thanks, but if only that were true (and no I'm not fishing).

HI

My shouting disturbed you :o !

Well lets hope (or hope) you don't get a break with your marvelous catalogue of compositions - if you do, and accept the mission to enter into world domination of the pop charts I would expect nothing short of you eating the manual of your sequencer of choice - which I imagine will change in line with your shift from a 'Hobbyist' host to a 'pro' host.

I feel better now, thank you  .

Mate i don't think i'd be the only person here who'd say that some of your tracks are top quality breakbeat, and would slide perfectly into a breaks set.

But i understand that you can't agree, no-one is ever happy with their own work!

I was gonna ask to remix "inevitable", I love that one and with getting live soon, be a good chance to learn its workings and hopefully make something decent. :D

no problemo, give me a shout whenever you're ready...

I just hope I've still got all the components for that one... :?

The greedy bastards are the dev's mainly who promote their software (usually with bugs) for a profit and rely on us to buy it telling you its a must! How many drum machines, synths, fx etc do you need? Does having the latest software make your music any better cos if it does then something is wrong.

There seems to be a lot of people around who "must" have the latest stuff, who have all the tools, synths etc and yet still can't produce a decent track.

Too many people here are playing with too much. Instead of trying to learn just one synth they play about with many and then complain when there arn't enough presets etc.

This is an easy one to give an 'IMO' isn't it.

Quite simply (me included) people that hang around here too much become embittered EX-wannabe's.

The people that are making progress (and I include those who make money from their efforts) probably have never heard or given a second thought to "is zeta better than Rhino" or "which is the best SX, Logic or Sonar" OR PERHAPS "do the aliasing filters in ? compromise the end listeners enjoyment of my tracks?" - these and many other useless discussions are unheard of amongst the many people 'in the business' that I know or who are known to my friends.

This may sound bitter to the palette but hanging around here for hours on end when we/you could be making music or playing with your 'toy's' is quite simply a one way ticket to no-where.

Don't get me wrong it is good to be informed but I am increasingy coming to the realisation that unless you simply like to talk and not walk - so too speak, you/we need to move on from worrying about a vast amount of the popintless waffle that goes on here and focus on our own goals - then there won't be any reason to bitch about whatever.

Flipper.

So true.

agree about us having too much.
but dsp dev's greedy??? I will tell you that for most of the devs that frequent here (the indie devs in particular) greed simply doesn't come into it. If they were greedy people then they wouldn't bother with coding VST and sequencers for us. They don't exactly make what I would call a killing. Some not even a living wage.

OK, I just read that developer's rant and it basically sounds like he wants a blowjob really bad.
