Hi Dan, how do I sync a drum loop with my host DAW tempo?cherryDan wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 4:05 amThe samplers will load audio files in any sample rate & bit depth. The file created will be in 32-bit, 48 kHz format.Shabdahbriah wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 3:18 am From the above: "Sampler I can load and play samples in AIF, WAV, MP3, and OGG formats. Does it mean, 'up to' 32/48? What about 24/96?

These are some very interesting additions'
The Vintage Oscillator sounds great and Sampler I is a lot of fun with all the right controls; I have yet to play with Sampler II.
I was most excited by the Remote Control, however, billed as it is "especially useful for controls that do not have any CV option.". Well, it is and it isn't. My early beef with VM was the lack of CV inputs on so many controls; IMHO if a module in a modular has a control then 9 times out of 10 it should have CV input. Since then we have seen the "Super" series which does give controls and attenuverters on those controls which is great.
The Remote Control rescues those early modules for me which makes it pretty much essential. However, something more is still needed. Ideally, again IMHO, the Cherry devs will revisit those early modules and add the missing CV inputs. Failing that, and/or until that time, a version of the Remote Control with multiple outs is needed. As illustrated by the video, the way to achieve that at the moment is to use the performance knobs as mults.
That's all getting a bit convoluted though, because we are now wiring two types of cables to the back of our modules, so to speak - one type that links the Remote to a performance knob and another that links performance knobs back to controls. We can't see those cables though because they are on the back of our modules.
Thus, it's a solution, but it is a bit hacky. The Remote Control is definitely a very valuable module but it still doesn't really substitute for going back and adding CV controls where, IMHO, they should have been from the start.
I guess you can read all that as me remaking a feature request
Maybe I'm missing something though? If not it's just my opinion (and don't think I'm not grateful for these additions) !

Dan, you are unreal cool.
I really wanted just a semlper, but I got two. I look at the module, and recall and Alan Wilder and his Emulator in Depeche Mode. Very beautiful!
Guys, you're the best! Softube, VCV and all others are now behind you.

Good to know, thank you. Never experienced it like that.cherryDan wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 12:58 amFYI, Voltage Modular will download software updates when you run it, and it will ask you if you want to install the update (when you exit) once the download has completed.Koshdukai wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 12:40 am At this rate of updates, we need auto-update or at least a "There's a new version. Maybe never gave it the chance to silently download it.
What I'm sure is that I didn't get any prompt or warning about it when I ran v1.2.1 last night after seeing the announcement post here. That made me quickly exit and go to the site to download the new versions (designer too).
Anyway, knowing this, I'll try again on the next update.
I'm used to see module update prompts but never seen VM update ones, at least in the Windows Standalone version.

This is how it works - you get instant notification (in the bar at the bottom) and things are installed right away if there's any update to VM or any of the modules (or bundles) you own. It's actually awesome and I wonder why other plugins don't do this....Koshdukai wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 12:40 am At this rate of updates, we need auto-update or at least a "There's a new version. Some us you would like to manage the downloads (into an unmetered or convenient time) so can the auto-download be made an option?cherryDan wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 12:58 amFYI, Voltage Modular will download software updates when you run it, and it will ask you if you want to install the update (when you exit) once the download has completed.

Voltage Modular has quickly become my favorite plugin over the past few months. It puts a smile on my face every time I load it up. The new Minimoog Osc is simply heaven, I didn't know how badly I needed a vintage voiced OSC model until now! You guys are absolutely killing it, and this has opened up a whole new world of GASin' for me (Classic Roland Monosynth OSCs
)
Was there an update to the standard OSC? I noticed while the vintage osc was downloading that the standard osc got a download as well.
Cheers

This isn't how it works over here. I have to manually download the installer for the new version, and run it. Only then it will download the new and updated modules.antic604 wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 10:25 amThis is how it works - you get instant notification (in the bar at the bottom) and things are installed right away if there's any update to VM or any of the modules (or bundles) you own. Knowing that it's supposed to work, I'll test this more thoroughly on the next update.Koshdukai wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 9:02 am What I'm sure is that I didn't get any prompt or warning about it when I ran v1.2.1 last night after seeing the announcement post here. I hope granular modules will be made available. Any chance/plan?
The guys are sure working hard on this.
I've been observing since the beginning, hopefully this is the year I'm buying it.

Mutable Instruments has a lot of modules, among them some granular, and all of them are open source, with the code published. Of course, they would have to be released for free (or the fees paid to Mutable Instruments), but Cherry Audio could code them as modules for Voltage Modular, AFAIK.Niowiad wrote: Fri Jan 25, 2019 2:50 pm I hope granular modules will be made available. I would gladly pay $10 for Mutable Instruments coded modules.
