has anyone ever used griff on a pocket pc ? and is it worth me downloading the demo (i hate putting stuff i'm unsure of on my ipaq cos its seems it my only stable computer :hihi: and i hate the idea of f**king it up)

my ipaq is pretty quick and has the 400mhz processor but it only has 64mb of real ram (plus 1/2 a gig on an sd card)

anyone ever used this properly ? how limited is it ? the idea of working on a tune on the train appeals greatly but i'm a bit wary.

cheers,

steve.

I've used it (I wrote some of the plug-ins!).

It's definitely worth downloading the demo and I'm sure there's no way it could f**k things up. 400MHz/64MB is no problem, you just have to watch the size of any samples you import. The limits are:

- battery life (as the audio is running all the time, which takes power)

- the interface (sometimes it's hard work compared to sequencing using a mouse and a big monitor)

but it's certainly flexible enough that you can have a lot of fun banging out a tune on the train.

You might want to check out Phoenix Studio too. It's like having Rebirth on your PocketPC.
