"The aim of this plug-in is to provide a wide variety of shaping options.
The plug-in is able to emulate the main features of two types of limiter:
VCA-limiters, which is a modern type of analog limiter,
and Opto-limiters which are vintage optical limiters.

Keep in mind, however, that PSP Twin-L’s limiting algorithms are not intended
to emulate any specific hardware but rather to bring the capabilities of both types into a versatile plug-in.
It’s also worth mentioning that the PSP Twin-L is part of our series Zero Latency Processing plug-ins;
no additional latency is critical in many situations such as live monitoring and managing automation."

Introductory offer:
until the 3rd February 2019 you can buy PSP Twin-L at the special introductory price of $49, then $69
(* all prices include taxes).

If a registered user of our other processors plug-ins you can get it at an even better price
(up to 44% additional discount).
To see your final price for the PSP Twin-L: log into your user account, go to the store and put the PSP Twin-L into your cart.

Requires iLok software (or optional dongle)

Is it me or does it seem like PSP is mailing this one in? The GUI looks half-baked.

Looks retro. A real game changer.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I played with it. it's nice. does what it's intended to do well. changes are predicatable and obvious. seems like a good transient shaping tool. I dodn't notice any audible issues with it. I tried it out on sampled acoustic drums, electronic drums, percussive synth arps and mixes of all the above with good results. For me I think it would be a nice addition in that it's more "direct" than many such limiters I have. Also, its 0 latency which could come in handy for tracking. :phones:

Super flexible, sounds great, low cpu, zero latency. I'm in.

Haven’t tried it yet. What’s the cpu usage like? Would it easily replace EBusLim or is it not transparent enough?

PSP are not known for sleek modern GUIs :)

I got the email - after a brief bout of GAS excitement I realised... it's just another "retro" (ie: high ratio compressor) limiter. I reminded myself that Pro-C 2 has 100:1 ratios already. I'm afraid to try this though because surely I will like it as I do most PSP stuff.

A hardware USB iLok dongle is NOT required, however it is optional.
In order to run a plug-in in 30 day demo mode or activate the plug-in, you need an iLok user ID which you can create for free at www.ilok.com, and you need to install the free iLok License Manager application.

Wow, that gui is disgusting...

"disgusting" you say ? You are offended ? Slight misuse of language I'd say. :hihi:
I think it's grand and in line with their aesthetic.

Just tried it out. I do like what it does to transients. I wish it had a brick wall stage afterwards to catch peaks.

Agreed, it would be super handy to catch spikes/peaks,
maybe an evolutionary product ... Tri-L?

I think what catched me here is the kind offer in case some is looking for this tool,
should become very friendly for customers in particular.

No, it looks fully baked. :)

It’s true that PSP do not have the nicest GUIs out there (I think I’d give that to Black Rooster) they DO have one of the best sounds and it’s a signature uniqueness to the sound of their plugins. They are also extremely consistent in quality. I find the Old Timer is better than the new SPL Iron and Old Timer is ... well, Old now. They seem to have figured it out a while ago.
