Hi,

I'd like to upgrade my Loom I to 2 and wondering..

at present Loom is part of the MPC hardware bundle..

Is upgrading it going to make it stand alone plugin??

Anyone upgraded it and knows?

Many thx.

I have the AIR AIEP3 Complete collection. I also upgraded Loom to Loom II.
Basically you get a new key, which you register and then you get a separate Activation for Loom II (note that Loom is still there).

I attached a screengrab from iLok to show the Loom and Loom v2 activations. Loom II is activated separately from AIEP3 Complete.

To be clear, you can NOT install Loom and Loom II side by side because they have the same product ID.
But there's no need to because Loom II is backward compatible and has the presets from Loom, as well as new ones for Loom II (including some from Richard Devine!)
(The plugin is still called Loom even though it's Loom II when you launch it).
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Outside of a small GUI that generation of Air synths in Loom, Hybrid, Vacuum and Xpand r close to flawless. Very rare

It was on sale during new year I believe (I think the upgrade price of £39.95 on PB is pretty fair).
Very unique and fun synth. One of the best randomise preset features I've seen, makes a lot of interesting patches, I end up saving a lot of them :D

It would be nice if AIR made the UI bigger/scalable - I believe they mentioned they're working on that couple years back, but seems to have gone silent. Haven't had any updates to AIR synths in a while it seems.

I like Loom2. It crashes my DAW (Reason 10) because of sheer power overload. I wish it has last 10 random params save.

JRR has upgrade for $10. It's been a while since I've played with Loom, and I really like it - a lot to get lost in. The UI size isn't a problem for me, and the randomizer is a fun way to roll the dice if you're in the mood.

Just installed Loom 2 on a new machine.
I have an iLok licence but its asking to authorise via the InMusic autjorisation app.
Whats going on ?

Fuggit
I can install 2.0 and everythings fine in terms of it being activated by Pace.
Installing any of the updates screws it and it triggers the InMusic auth app.

I think it was some time last year that they switched from iLok to their own authorization app.
I remember I had to email support with my old iLok serials, and have them put the new versions in my inMusic account.

yeah it was a pain, but they did it pretty quickly, if I remember right.
Hopefully this helps.

Great. I'm not looking forward to this when I migrate my DAW next week. Loom II has been working for me with no issues, so if they've changed authorization methods, I guess it doesn't check unless it's being installed.

Thanks for the heads-up!
