I need a quick suggestion, some 50s, 60s hit song that would have super easy chords on guitar, to hook a very beginner. Maybe something in a pool of C, A, Am, E, D, Dm...?

F is the chord that took me about 3 months to be able to play cleanly, but it's worth starting fairly early with it.

G is considered difficult at the moment... not to mention F (House of the Rising Sun was my idea too, but F is sort of next level from here). I'm looking into classic R'n'R, 50s stuff mainly, it should be easy, but I have never been into these, so I'm a bit clueless. San Francisco looks good, but it's such a lame song... But thanks I will ponder this.

Blues progressions. Choose your key. Lots of early RnR is based on the I, IV, V, progression, and can be done in either major or minor keys.
A, D, A, E, D, A, E.
A, D, A, E, D, A, E.

Nah, you just need to work a bit on your F-chord workaround...Bombadil wrote: Mon Jan 28, 2019 8:14 pm F is the chord that took me about 3 months to be able to play cleanly, but it's worth starting fairly early with it.

Yeah, I figured Hey Good Looking will do, with F>Fmaj7 workaround and this king of G7...

Some people play F like a C but with the last two fingers moved down a string. But you really need to play it as a barre chord... then, you might as well just bite the bullet and learn barre chords, they hurt at first, but you'll get there.
