Hi everyone, just a quick heads up that v10.0.17 of Waveform should now be available for download in your accounts. If you've been using an earlier version you'll probably have noticed it's timed out. The new version will expire in two weeks by which time we should have the full release ready.

I don't know if this would be considered a bug, but when an area selection is active, selecting a track and copying it doesn't work. You have to remove the area selection first.

Is Waveform 10 UI updated for Mac retina screens? Last time I've tried Waveform 9 It had serious problem with many (more than 16) tracks as user interface became very slow (like 2-3 frames per second). It was almost impossible to precisely edit midi events. Any changes in this matter?

The new cursor still does not work for me. macos 10.14.2, 5k iMac. Waveform 10.0.17.
If I mouse over any sort of clip, I do not see the cursor. If I mouse over an empty area I do see it. That sorta defeats the purpose of the feature.

A related problem, that has always annoyed me in Tracktion: If you want to position the cursor, for starting playback or recording, you have to click in an empty area. So if there are clips everywhere on the screen area, you have to scroll to make an empty track visible before you can position the cursor.

You can click on a clip area to set the transport position. First it will select the clip, then clicking again will set the transport position.Stuttaton wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 9:50 am A related problem, that has always annoyed me in Tracktion: If you want to position the cursor, for starting playback or recording, you have to click in an empty area. It's done like this so you can select clips without changing the transport position. Or you can click directly in the time bar to set the transport position.

In general, yes. However if you happen to use a plugin that is prone to crashing, it will still bring the app down.
We have improved auto-save and crash recovery though so if a plugin does crash, all your work will be saved and the app will immediately restart taking you to just before the crash happened.

@dRowAudio Has there been a recent change in the opacity setting of the looped region, It seems fainter to me compared to when it was first introduced, and if i remember correctly it was noticeable in front of the clips, whereas now it seems as though the clips are always in front of the loop background color ? Thanks

I don't think so, I've not made any changes to it since it got pushed.
I did try it in front of clips but it looks odd. Like they've been sliced at the intersection. For that reason it sits at the back.
