I wasn't expecting the UI visual feedback feature, that's a very nice surprise!
Synthmaster One is one of the best value synths on the market!

Found a bug in Synthmater 2.9
If you copy layer 1 settings to layer 2 something weird happens and whole sound gets lo-fi, like bitcrush on top sound.
Also i did noticed alot of older expansions presets sound weird, like has alot of resonance in the sound. Ar those suppose to sound that way?

I believe that's a MacOSX issue, right?
We were able to reproduce it when we installed it administrator and then ran as a regular user.
Until I post an update, I'd kindly request you guys to manually fix the permissions of the following folders:
/library/application support/kv331 audio/synthmaster/presets/DeJaVu Sounds
/library/application support/kv331 audio/synthmaster/resources/skins/St White
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

No it's not that and I'm not a regular user, I have admin rights. It looks like neither of those folders was installed, they don't exist in those locations. However in the Skins folder there are lots of folders like this:kv331 wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 7:28 pmI believe that's a MacOSX issue, right?

'New Skin 11092010092148-140' with an xml file inside.
I think these are remnants of failed installs perhaps?

Seems to work here. I found the folders specified and just had to unlock them.aMUSEd wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 12:16 pm

You know, I really REALLY want to to use Synthmaster again. But god, the UI is so unpolished. All of the skins have different issues. Item and text placement is inconsistent, things are missing or misnamed. There's just so much wrong that I don't know how it was missed.
I even did a fresh, from-scratch install today to see if anything was fixed, and nope. Still the same issues from nearly... a year ago? It's frustrating.

Agreed.Dasheesh wrote: Fri Feb 01, 2019 2:35 am Trust me, you don't want to see the white skin. Only skins usable right now are the green/blue/orange ones, which are not bad at all.
I don't want to disregard the work on the new skins, but I'm pretty sure many users think this way. We don't need more skins, we need the main ones to be better.AJYoung wrote: Fri Feb 01, 2019 3:11 am You know, I really REALLY want to to use Synthmaster again. But god, the UI is so unpolished. There's also the thing that comes before skin design, that is, the user experience design, but that's a different subject.

You nailed it exactly.nachenko wrote: Fri Feb 01, 2019 6:57 am We don't need more skins, we need the main ones to be better.
You know what, it's late at night and apparently I've got nothing better to do, so here we go. I'll preface this with the fact that I really loved using Synthmaster at one point, and frankly I love Satyatune's GUI work in general. I've bought skins for Hive and Dune and they're fantastic.
This is what I mean by unpolished UI:
Open these two pictures of the layers and flip between them. Notice the differences:

Obvious is the LFO controls, but also the "Voices" label in the oscillator section moves. So do the labels for the filter Distortion controls.
Same on the FX page, the controls and labels don't have consistent position:

Let's take a look at the "Default" GUI's.
Distortion 1 and 2 have completely different filter label names and styles:

https://i.imgur.com/ytUSBh8.png
Also, less noticeable is that the Osc1 label moves position between Layer 1 and 2.
Oh, and there are STILL red lines in the scaled default skins.
Here's a fun one, check out the differences in the Phaser controls:

Side note: The second equalizer effect is improperly named. You have "Equalizer 1" and "Equalizer". In the Satya skins the two of them display as "Equalizer 1" and "EQ" respectively.
Why do the non-green default skins still have green text and background coloring in places?

And some of the text on Evil Silverado is near unreadable:
https://i.imgur.com/SqR2OHm.png
Back to Tranquil Blue: text, especially numbers, doesn't scale well and doesn't fit squarely within the labels:
https://i.imgur.com/bNSjELF.png
Why are some labels properly shaded while others are left as blank colors?

And the brand-new Skin isn't clean either. Check out the Ensemble Effect:

The white skin also has the same problem as on the Tranquil Blue effect page.
There's TONS OF THIS STUFF. I just covered the very obvious ones. Seriously, I rather like the existing skins, provided they get polished. Take some time to go deep and fix these things.
