In version 2.0 modifications can be auditioned in real time, no more offline render tea breaks. And it's now also available for Windows 10 (before it was Mac only). Whoever bought it after April 2018 qualifies for a free upgrade (including myself). Obviously they are now running it on a subscription scheme.

Bad news - I wish I'd bought it back then

Yes, there is. You must buy two years upfront to immediately get a perpetual license

Hi DiogoG!
V2 of SoundParticles really does look very impressive - I hope I can indulge in it with some future projects. You will likely get a lot of negativity around your subscription principle - and I'm not sure a temporary condition (start subscription in Feb for 2 years and we will consider that payment for life) will be enough to persuade the chaps and chapesses here that you aren't just in it for the money.
I do recognise, though, the product has limited appeal to most music makers; it really is a sound design tool, and a flipping good one! So your target market is much smaller than most VST/AU plugin developers. And they will mostly be the movie/tv/advertising industry, games developers and some sonic artists. Therein lies the incentive for subscription-based ownership, from a business perspective
I would suggest you consider opening up the temporary "Feb 2019 subscription start" for ever. After two years of an indie customer subscribing to it, they've spent minimum almost $500 on it - is that not a reasonable price-point?
Anyway, I will endeavor to seek work which brings me closer to it
The fun i had with it last year has not yet been surpassed!
Also, looking at this https://soundparticles.com/products/sou ... les/plans/ page, point 9 seems to indicate the basic price should be higher than the table above suggests (so discounts may be applied under 1-year license agreements). It might be worth making sure all those figures are accurate.

Thank you very much for your words. After this month we will start working on musical features, improving our real-time performance even further, supporting MIDI and reconstructing our pitch shifter with the incorporation of resampling (among others). Thus, we will drastically increase our appealing to music makers.CinningBao wrote: Wed Feb 06, 2019 12:09 pm Hi DiogoG!

Regarding the "Feb 2019" only, I believe you are right and we already started discussing this matter with our sales team.
Regarding the pricing plan and the point 9, that is no mistake, since the table says "Starting", meaning that it is the minimum cost per month possible.

I'm glad to hear you are addressing the limited availability of the license in perpetuatery. I think that would make purchase a lot more comfortable for many users.
Ok, I guess I misread the table! My bad!

Hmm... So if you want to 'buy' it now. You gotta' pay $500 which is a lot more expensive than the original product.
Like I said earlier... No thanks.
