Although I have some hours spent with Falcon, today I just discovered the Digital EQ. If someone else missed it, it's worth checking.

I'm glad I could be of assistance. I don't think that index file trick is a regular solution, it would only be useful if you duplicated, renamed or moved your ufs files around and need to refresh that search list. I had to do it again recently because I copied my library to an external hard drive to reclaim some space on my main disk, the old preset references were still in place alongside the new ones until I again deleted that index file. If you just download everything once, then leave it all alone then you should not ever need to mess with it.

It’s pretty sweet.
Time to revamp some patches.

Hello,
Are slices now stored as part of the patch without needing to store them in the sample?

Yes (it was implemented few updates ago)scott_free wrote: Thu Feb 07, 2019 7:41 pm Hello,

Can someone please explain to me the practical difference between a "part" and a "program" in Falcon?

Good question.ZildjianAVC wrote: Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:24 pm Can someone please explain to me the practical difference between a "part" and a "program" in Falcon?
I guess the part could be considered the mixer channel as object with extended features, which in turn contains the program.
I haven't read, but you can find Falcon structure explained in the manual page 15.

That's exactly what's the difference.

Perhaps someone can shed some light.
Is there a way in Falcon to set multiple sample loops in one sample? Each loop would have its own user determined count such that the loop cycles a set number of times for each loop. After the set count number is reached for a particular loop, the playhead would then move forward to the next loop and so on?
Kontakt is able to do what I am attempting to describe here (I hope it makes sense
).
Edit: Thank you very much for the helpful suggestion, sircuit. I am just beginning my Falcon journey.

You can load multiple loops in separate modules and play all of them simultaneously when a key is pressed. Then you can use volume multienvelopes (synced to host) for each loop, and set the time in bars for each. Try with 2: one envelope on for first 2 bars and off on the second 2 - while the second envelope is zero for the first two bars and max for the last two bars.

Four instances of Falcon and nothing else, one main split patch with drone and pad-lead, one sequencer, some granular ambience at the end and a pad doubling the melody played in the upper half of the main patch.

I don"t think that"s what he's asking.sircuit wrote: Sat Feb 09, 2019 1:11 am You can load multiple loops in separate modules and play all of them simultaneously when a key is pressed. The word loop, in this case, isn't referring to a section of music that can be repeated, but a very short section of an audio file that can be looped. This was common in hardware samplers when available memory was limited, and very expensive. For example, a sample of a piano note would be fairly short; after the first few milliseconds had played, a loop phase was entered, where the sample would sustain indefinitely. The sampler's envelopes and filter would used to create the needed timbral and dynamic changes. This type of looping is still used for instruments like organs, which can sustain for as long as you hold a note.
Casino's FZ-1 was able to have up to eight loops in an audio file; this sounds like what Scott_Free was asking about. I don't think Falcon can do this, but it would be an interesting feature for a future update.

You’re most likely right. I use Falcon so often to trigger 2/4 bar loops, I was set on this concept.
Probably a combination of several sampler modules with different loop points and in conjunction with trigger mode set to cycle could work closer to what scott_free wanted to achieve?
More exactly: sampler 1 loop 1, sampler 2 set to the same loop 1, sampler 3 loop 1, sampler 4 loop 2.
Press a key 4 times, it will play loop 1 3 times and loop 2 one time. Cumbersome as uck, but it may work if for whatever reason he needs this.
