Well, you can be scammed. I think common sense is the most important factor though. Stay away from new members. Stay away from too good to be true prices. In general, stay away, if the replies of the seller are somewhat fishy.
And, don't think it's only sellers who want to scam you, but, beware of shady buyers as well. Personally, i won't deal with people who aren't registered for at least a year here, and who have less than 3 or 4 positive feedbacks.
