If I understand this correctly the registration codes on the NI site are there to be used once on the u-he site to generate the serials which are not then NFR. So why would a buyer or seller care about any artefact on the NI site after a sale?EnGee wrote: Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:13 pm @Dencheg
Even if you can split it with u-he, how can you split the bundle with NI?
The products are registered with NI and appears the registration code in your account, so it's a two steps procedure. You have the registeration code from NI (when you buy it), then you use this code to generate serials with u-he.

Maybe you are right. In practice, if you can sort it out with u-he, that's all is needed!cleverr1 wrote: Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:33 pmIf I understand this correctly the registration codes on the NI site are there to be used once on the u-he site to generate the serials which are not then NFR. Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

This sale seems somewhat successful.

The registration code is single use to activate a license key in a u-he account.eluherlu wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 8:20 am Hi, just bought Repro from another customer's splitted bundle.. Does this mean my Repro is still in his NI account?
The registration code will still be in his NI account, but you already activated it to get your license key in your u-he account. So the registration code is now basically useless.
A bit like if you find a phone card and someone already scratched it off and used the code.
But your License Key is a full license that can be transferred to someone else's u-he account (u-he allows this for free after 9 months).

To keep things in context, it's probably worth pointing out that NI has done this sort of cross-promotional sale with several other companies that have implemented NKS in their products, and I haven't seen anyone speculating that they are gunning to buy out Softube or Arturia, for example.

Fair enough. But at least in Arturia's case: they're already quite large as music companies go. Softube I don't know that much about.cthonophonic wrote: Sat Feb 09, 2019 2:23 am To keep things in context, it's probably worth pointing out that NI has done this sort of cross-promotional sale with several other companies that have implemented NKS in their products, and I haven't seen anyone speculating that they are gunning to buy out Softube or Arturia, for example.

I remember Camel Audio. In there case: my guess that what opened the door for their buyout was the synergy that happened when they did the port of Alchemy for the ipad - Apple realized what s brilliant product Alchemy was - and that CA had gotten stuck in 1.x - they just couldn't make the full pass to ver 2; so were probably made a deal where they couldn't say no.
U-he is a tiny company, just like CA - that's the only way they can afford to do what they do (and do it brilliantly, I must add)

I was more remarking on the modest baseline of a 2% revenue increase long-term given the current intense exposure that U-he is receiving.

U-he isn't THAT small are they? They do have like 5 or 6 people working there now I think. I mean they aren't big but not tiny right?

5-6 sounds about right. Think about it: it's about the size of a typical family. Camel Audio iirc was maybe slightly larger.
Employees cost money; so the most efficient way is a small group of people where everyone multitasks. I dunno - most small places that I've worked have at least double that on the payroll - some part time, admittedly.
