I guess I'll put up a reminder on each page that we have not been bought out and there are no plans to shut down. We're just fine and will continue to do our thing.

The way I see this is that it's totally beneficial to both U-HE and Native Instruments. U-HE taps in to the N.I customer base and vice versa, win win situation. This is good business for both developers so Bravo!Urs wrote: Sat Feb 09, 2019 3:33 pm I guess I'll put up a reminder on each page that we have not been bought out and there are no plans to shut down. Ok, back to topic: is it possible that Hive could come up as a 1/2 price sale item on NI's site at some point in the future?

Imagine a recoding of all of NI's ip to U-he's standards - a lot of work; but if an army of devs is there to do it -

Friendly merger. If not, hostile takeover.
Then reverse merger with a worthless penny stock.
Then a stockmarket IPO.
Next, buy tropical island.

I really don't know. They won't do such an deal with a single synth, and I wouldn't want to do the same deal + Hive again, and I also wouldn't want to put Hive together in some deal with competing products. So maybe rather not.goldenanalog wrote: Sat Feb 09, 2019 3:53 pmOk, back to topic: is it possible that Hive could come up as a 1/2 price sale item on NI's site at some point in the future?

i dont really understand the whole nks thing, by which i mean what makes one synth nks compatible while another isn't?
i dont need full technical data, just "it's a code thing" or "it's just someone has mapped it to the nks devices" basic
