I know for a fact that my wife would start planning for widowhood if I ever had a wall of amps like that!

On that note about amps ... I have several more and they are all LOUD amps. I've never lived anywhere where I could just cut them loose until now. But, in the house I have to wait till the missus is in town. So, this will be my new studio eventually. I've been working on it for almost two years now. I want to be done by next winter. I've finished the ceiling insulation. I'm having the walls foam spray insulated. That should get done hopefully in the next month. Then drywall .. then .. then then grrrrrrrrrr.
Anyhow, this will eventually be my studio. You can check out the gearslutz thread that I rarely update because I only have the cash to occasionally make progress.

I only have 9 (I think).
Looking forward to seeing your studio when it's finished!

Another reason it is going slow is because I'm doing a bunch of custom wiring that took me a LONG time to finish. I think you can see a couple of boxes on the left with wires hanging out in the prior picture. I have 4 of those boxes on each side wall and one master junction on the main wall. I have shielded multi-core feeds going into the junction boxes. I've also done multiple CAT 6 to each wall. And, I put in 2 dedicated circuits in addition to isolating the lights and AC.
They haven't sent me the master plate yet, but the walls are getting a combination of these. There are 16 jack plates in total.

Whoa, are you not worried that your cat might get cancer by possibly being exposed to magnetic/electric fields?

There are very strict regulations governing radiated EMI in consumer electronics.harryupbabble wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:23 pm Whoa, are you not worried that your cat might get cancer by possibly being exposed to magnetic/electric fields?
I don't think I've ever heard of a pet getting cancer from studio equipment.

I hope you are right but what if the regulations are designed "strictly" for humans. Not many humans sit/lie on top of devices?

The regulations are not what protect us from electromagnetic interference. There is tons of information out there about how EMI shielding works... and no, there is no kind of shielding which is designed specifically for humans.

I've been Googling the topic a bit. I will Google it more later, after scrabble. But here's one article I briefly read (more like skimmed). Okay, bye for now.
