i know tons of people with cats and studios.
cats like warm places, friends without studios cats often sleep on their laptops.
out of possibly hundreds of cats in my lifetime, ive heard of two getting cancer (not saying it doesn't happen, just saying statistically it doesn't appear to be related to electrical equipment) and one of those was due to sunburn on its ears, so it lost the pointy bit of a cats ears.
cats without ears, as sad as this story is, look f**king hilarious.

Not bad either:

It was raised near a nuclear plant, I suppose.

Get the f**k out of here with that bullshit!
That isn't an article! It's is a website which is trying to sell pet owners garbage, which won't protect them from anything. Completely irresponsible.

by the way, totally dig the MM and Xpander. I'm not sure about the vertical orientation of the MM though :hihi:

Thanks! :) I got the Lintronics mod for the MM. The MM now has aftertouch and velocity sensitivity, but the keyboard does not. If anything is fussy and not that great on the MM at this point it's the keyboard. I think about getting it modded with an AT and Velocity sensitive keyboard, but at this point I play the AKAI keys for both synths, and use the knobs, switches on the MM.
justin3am wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:37 pm Loving that Wretch+Retroverb combo!
Thanks, yeah some guy sold me those, and four metasonix boxes that got sold during the mortgage crisis! :( , and I put them in the mixer case together, too good of a combo. I've got to use the Retroverb on something else one of these days.

harryupbabble wrote: Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:23 pm Whoa, are you not worried that your cat might get cancer by possibly being exposed to magnetic/electric fields?

https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/cau ... fact-sheet
No, not at all.

Did not expect that reaction?
Just for fun I have EMF reader on my iphone. If the reader is accurate at all it's a completely overblown concern, EMF radiation seems to be about 1/2 inch around an item. the top of the rack case barely reads any at all, Push 2 around the LED screen, and the laptop near the Control key are 30x higher.
This is the study to look at. https://www.niehs.nih.gov/health/topics ... /index.cfm

Cancer institutes are going to find cancer in everything, and I'm willing to trust an organization saying it's an extremely low risk when right wing publications are attacking them as being chemophobic etc.

and the Genetic Literacy Project exposed!

Basically no, I'm not worried, I'm certain the pleasure she gets from sleeping there while I work on music or post on KVR, :hihi: is going to far outweigh the minimal risk of exposure she gets.

In California cats probably cause cancer and require a warning label.
